    Good Points: Apparently friendly in store staff

    Bad Points: Very poor response to problems that fall outside their 28 day refund period.

    General comments: Am currently in dispute with Carphone Warehouse over an iPhone that was almost certainly faulty when bought, and replaced with a refurbished phone (note: NOT A NEW PHONE) which in turn developed a different fault - and its only two months from the first purchase. Despite misleading omissions from the salesperson (who didn't mention the 28 refund/return period), reporting the fault in a reasonable period of time, and giving the manufacturer an opportunity to resolve the situation, the manager/team leader at CW still insists that their company policy complies with the sale of goods act and that they will not give me a refund.I am glad to hear that someone got something back from the Carphone Warehouse, but slightly wearied by the fact that it looks like I will have to instigate small claims proceedings to get what I am after. Nevertheless, I am sending off my formal complaint letter (plus supporting documentation) to CW in the morning, recorded delivery.

    car phone warehouse are shocking bad, i brought a phone at xmas 2 months later it went wrong so i took it back. It was sent off for repair i had it back for 24 hours and the same thing happened again. It has happen 4 times with the last 7 or 8 weeks. The last time it happened i was not even called to say my phone was in store they just leave you to find out for your self.     Carphone Warehouse customer service is shocking, they will take your money very quickly and then once you are trapped they will treat you with contempt. The information that is held on record for you is consistently wrong, for example I took out phone insurance and they direct debitted my account every month, even after i cancelled my phone contract. When i phoned to cancel the insurance, which you have to do seperately, they said they had no record of me ever paying, despite me having the ban ...

    we had same thing happenen to us from carphone warehouse as the previous review except my son's went wrong 2 weeks after xmas. after alot of letters we decided to take them to the small claims court ( £25 online, really easy) they then settled the full amout plus court costs just before it went to court. really bad customer service from shop staff and head office. think twice before you buy from them.

    Carphone Warehouse are happy to take your money for a phone but if you have any problems your stuck!! i bought a phone at christmas for my daughter and within 3months it didnt work!! reluctantly had it (so called repaired) twice and the outcome was they couldnt fix it,was told to go into store and get a new phone and got offered a damaged phone full of blue ink ,scratched and chewed!! i would not accept it as mine was brand new! they only give you a like for like phone which is ridiculas !!!!! ...

    where is my £10 airtime? i bought a payg mobile from Carphone Warehouse nearly three weeks ago a condition of purchace was to buy £10 airtime phone arrived next day.. been ringing c/s and emailing since then for my £10 airtime....its not going to happen i guess £10 lost.

    don't ever use the carphone warehouse. I bought a phone four months ago, it was faulty and has been into repair 4 times with no success. Customer Care are totally unhelpful. Everybody passes the blame around and does nothing.

    I had ordered a laptop with mobile broadband with the Carphone warehouse a week and a half ago. After going through the whole process of the ID, picking the thing up etc, which took about 35 mins in all?! I then got it home to find the mobile broadband did not work. It is now the Wednesday of the following week and this is still not working.     Onestopphoneshop.co.uk - a branch of Carphone Warehouse. I bought a new handset, when it arrived it was a different handset from the one i had asked for.     I have ordered a phone from the carphone warehouse this week. They were fast enough to take the money from my account but did not dispatch the phone. I rang them to find out why I hadn't recieved my phone and was met with the worst customer service ever. I cancelled my order after and hour of arguements over the phone and then spent the next 2 hours trying to get my money back. Will never shop with them.

    I have recently had extremely poor service from carphone warehouse Leeds when recently my phone stopped charging. They put across a 'cant be bothered' attitude and the woman who served me was VERY rude and held an attitude against me for no reason whatsoever. They refused to fix my phone, but when my phone was sent to Samsung they had no problem in fixing it. They just want your money, and once your phone has problems they couldn't care less.     Can not get out of a phone contract. Carphone Warehouse keep telling me what to do and I do it, then a bill shows up the next month. Been dealing with this for 3 months now and am usually on the phone for 30 minutes each time I call the company trying to straighten it out! Very frustrating

    Purchased my LG secret and Carphone Warehouse sent a second hand one with a damaged sim card, I sent it back and several weeks later it returned but with no sim. I phoned up and they arranged to send me a new sim but after waiting over a week I went and bought one from a local store instead.     Girlfriend takes out a phone contract with Carphone Warehouse, buys insurance. Staff nice as pie as they sell her the phone! After a week phone is faulty... Girlfriend takes phone back into shop and is accused of lying! "there is no way you got that here". "do you think we are stupid".     I got a phone from the Carphone Warehouse web based sales site called e2save. The bluetooth did not work on it and i brought it back to be repaired. As it was after the initial 28 day replacement period it had to be sent off which was fine, they gave me a replacement handset which was rubbish (in my opinion) and failed to notify me when it was returned to the store.     Carphone Warehouse are very poor. I ordered a phone off the web and had to choose deliver to store for various reasons.
