Still trying to get my old mobile number transferred over to my new phone, some 34 days after purchasing phone. Tried to blame me for supplying wrong number but then admitted it was their mistake. “Great prices, poor service.”

Over the last 8 months I have had to order four sets of phones from them. The good news is that they have always had the best price, which is what matters once you have the phone. The down side is that it can take a while to get it. Their stock system is nonsense. Of 4 orders that said they were in stock, 3 I instantly recieved an email saying actually it was out of stock and would be up to 2 weeks to get the phones (once they had taken the money of course) I don't know of any other online… Read Full Review

“Useless customer service”

Bought phone last november for my daughter(14 yrs). The phone stopped working last week. Brought it back to Dundrum to have it fixed and got a call yesterday to say it would cost €120 as the serial# had been removed from the battery. Questioned my daughter and she said it had become sticky so she perled it off. She still has the box and i have the receipt but they are refusing to fix it for free. Absolutely shocked by the customer service by this company! I bought the Iphone 6 with an EE contract and I cannot use the phone. CFW has not sent my details to EE and therefore EE do not recognize my account. I have been passed between the two companies for 10 days now..3 different helpdesk people gave me 3 different answers. they sent me to a shop even though I bought direct over phone. Order an iphone6 in preorder 6 days before launch! Guess what it didn't turn up! A warehouse issue but unfortunately they haven't got any left! Might be able to get me one in October sometime! Went into their Whiteley Store to buy an iPhone6 case. Found you had to join a long queue whilst customers taking new contracts were dealt with. Queued for 30 mins to cash buy a case. Why not have somebody to deal with cash accessory sales? Many people walked out = lost sales. Manager bickered with salesman over my change. Pathetic, poor and rubbish. No word of apology. carphone warehouse just pass the buck to the geek insurance without helping!!!! have never ever ever bought anything frm carphone warehouse before and after this never will again. they are quick to take your cash and any problems, you are on your own if you encounter any worries. geek squad is the worst. after 11 working days am still waiting for my insurance refund of £33.99 which was supposed to be refunded within 7 working days. when i called again few times they can't give me info as my one and only dob since i was born was apparently wrong!!!!!! carphone customer service couldn't help and i need apparently to go to the shop i bought the handset from to reset the dob. load of bull if you ask me. they can keep the money if they are that desperate and steal from their customers. when i spoke with someone the first time to get my refund they have all the details ok and next time i called to check up on my refund all of a sudden there is a problem with my details. i only have one dob since i was born so how could i have been soooo very stupid to give them the wrong one that i cant even remember giving to them in the first place!!!!! rubbish rubbish rubbish......

“Never buy a phone through Carphone warehouse”

I bought two phones on the 12 June 2014 from Carphone warehouse also bought insurance. On the 25 July my daughter brought the phone back to the shop. My daughter was told as the phone was over 28 days old that it would be repaired. (less than 5 weeks old) Told it would take 2 days to repair. “Consultant at CPW gives inaccurate information.”

I don't know how they train staff there but seems like they allow their staff to say anything out of their head if the staff is unhappy that a customer wants to return a product. “Terrible Customer Service”

I just had an appalling customer service experience at the hands of 'James' the manager of this store. They had a phone advertised for £27 on their poster wall, but when I bought it they charged me £30. I queried this and was told pretty roughly that there was nothing he could or would do, crowing that the law was on his side. i couldn't agree more. they just pass you to one person to the next!!! no one wants to take responsibility you just get passed around instead. their geek insurance is the worst. they just give you such hard time getting your refund. takes apparently up to 10 working days......if you are lucky enough to give the correct details if not just say goodbye to the insurance refund or go to the branch where you bought your handset from. it's not even your fault they have your dob incorrect!!!!!

“The reason why they are terrible these days”

In 2007 i worked for them, pay was good staff were motivated to know more, as it led to more sales and better knowledge, staff actually looked the part 2 years later they removed the commission, taking away all incentive staff had to learn more and to better themselves, so now they just employ pretty young things to fill the stores no wonder they are going under and need to merge with Curry's You cant provide quality service and knowledge with warm bodies… Read Full Review
