We went into Carphone Warehouse in Colliers Wood this Sunday (2nd June). As we walked in at 12pm there were 2 consultants dealing with customers and 1 couple waiting to be attended. After being let down by another online phone retailer, I ordered online an iPhone4S from Carphone Warehouse at around noon on Tuesday. Three hours later I received an email to tell me that my order had been approved and it was due to leave their warehouse for next day delivery via Yodel. I pre-ordered Samsung S4 on 18th April as phone was due to be released on 26th April. After placing the order, I never received any mail/message to confirm, which is common as per them. The sales assistant tried to sell me a phone for £150 more than the one I wanted by claiming it had more advanced software. When I examined the phone it was obvious it was the same as the cheaper. Like all other business field, phone companies are also in red ocean. We have Vodafone, 3, Orange, O2 and others. So the competition here is not only about who offers better deal but also how you treat your customers. So I pre ordered a galaxy s4 through cpw so I could get the free tab etc. After no confirmation I emailed them to find out what was happening and if I was one of the 'lucky' customers to get the tablet. Just purchased a phone from StHelens store and the pushy staff are so annoying. Push push push trying to sell insurance and broadband which I wasn't interested in. The mobile phone account I had with O2 through Carphone Warehouse was switched to O2 by CPW. The final bill I received from CPW showed a credit balance and I expected this amount to be paid to me by CPW, either into my account or by cheque and I thought no more of it. I have a samsung galaxy note which does not work i have 15 mnths contract left and am getting no benfits from my services which cost me £41 each month. Like many people I made the mistake of buying a new phone from carphone warehouse on pay-as-you-go. You have to buy at least £10 airtime but it is never credited to your phone, they simply pocket the money then blame the network operator when you complain. Nothing good to say (read more)

I tried to purchase a mobile contract from this company, after receiving the sm card and relevant documents I thought my phone would be good to go. Unable to activate my sim with 3 I was told to wait 24 hours. 24 hours later, still nothing, ring up again to explain, told to wait another 24 hours and then another 24 hours. Ordered an upgrade (Xperia Z) on Tues for a Thurs delivery. Waited in all day with a note on the door saying 'WE ARE IN'. No delivery. I called on Fri and was promised a Monday delivery. No email about dispatch at any time. I called on Monday and was told Yodel attempted delivery on Thurs (which is nonsense. I recently upgraded from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5 and decided to stick to O2 through the Carphone Warehouse. I received excellent service from my local branch (Perth) and they made sure to go through the phone itself right through to the insurance. The employee who dealt with me also gave me instructions on how to transfer my number as well and thank god he did as I'd still be trying to figure it out. I have recently brought a Nokia Lumia from Care phone Warehouse and it is by far the worse phone I have ever brought. I regretted buying it from the moment I turned it on. With it's horrid design and basic features this phone should be taken of the market. I was phoned by CPW as I approached my upgrade date. I agreed to get an iPhone 5, but was told unequivocally that I had 14 days to return it to any CPW shop if I changed my mind. I visited my local branch of CW in October with a friend as he needed to have his number ported from a SIM to a MicroSIM, as I had this done before on my own phone.We were made to feel like beggars as this is supposed to be done free but they insisted he should pay for the Microsim. At the end of August 2012 I went to Carphone Warehouse to get a phone on contrsct for my 12 year Old Daughter as she goes to school 14 miles away. I'm glad I read your review, it tells me an awful lot about carphone warehouse customer service. I was just about to make the biggest mistake of purchasing a galaxy tab2 from them. Am so happy I've learnt not to do that. I don't want to keep running back and forth to the shop only to be told to turn off any running apps and the internet. What a rip off!!! Thank You for your comment. if you read the other reviews you will find that seem to have a 50/50 split remember one thing most people never comment on good service. they get on with it so looking at the reviews I am really annoyed I allowed my self to trust Carphone Warehouse, They are only interested in getting phones out of the shop or persuading you to pay for Geek Squad, well I expected my daughters phone to have 12 months guarentee. I have not even had a call on the phone to ask why the battery is overheating. Also if your phone does go down it could be away for up to 2 weeks

I bought my current Galaxy Note 2 and my previous Galaxy S3 on ebay, in the case of the Note 2 for £100 less than Carphone Warehouse. Granted you take a risk but if you pay through Paypal you get your money back if anything goes wrong. Its no wonder high street chains like Jessops, Blockbusters and HMV are dying if they are like this shower.

went in yesterday, had to wait a while but very patient staff who went through all the options for the 2 mobiles we bought, far better than our current providers tmobile who we are fed up with. Absolutely useless people, the staff at carphone warehouse were a breath of fresh air. we ended up discontinuing tmobile and opting for talk mobile which seems more trustworthy than the rip off T mobile service we were using for the past seven years. I bought a phone and was told I would receive a cashback after a certain period. I attempted to claim this and they refused to give it to me and passed me to several different people to talk to. So many people down-voting carphone warehouse because of Yodel. Yes Yodel are terrible, and they shouldn't legally be allowed to call themselves a delivery company. Watch out when checking prices on the Carphone Warehouse webpages. Unlike many other sellers they fail to tell you that the prices quoted are internet only prices. So,if you check a price then take up their offer to, "Visit one of our 800+ shops" to get something rather than wait on the post you may find yourself unexpectedly paying more for your goods than you thought you would have to - like I did when buying two ipads for Xmas gifts today. Carphone Warehouse and e2save.com are the same legal entity! Read reviews for the latter. Carphone Warehouse will lie and claim that e2save.com is not their's but i checked Companies House and it is registered as one company. CPW use the name e2save.com for all of their under handed sales tactics in order to preserve the CPW name. They will cold call you stating they are CPW. Actually they are a great service and the sales staff do their best to help people, I work there and i can tell you about 75% of problems have nothing to do with store staff we do our best and we get yelled at a lot for it. It is your duty to ask all the questions we do our best to explain everything to customers but we may slip up occasionally! Sometimes it costs more in store but that is because we can do more in store!! set up phones answer any questions and make sure your on the right service! We always help people and if you actually go into a store and ask for help you will always get it as we are not commisioned based, but if you go in at a busy hour then obviously we shall try our best but at the end of the day we are still a sales company so go in store and ask if you have any questions!
