“Dreadful shop service”

I ordered a new iPhone online from CW and the delivery timing was excellent. As I was up-grading from a very old Nokia 3210 the technology was new to me so I went to the local shop asking for help to put in the sim card. I was I was told I must either pay £14.99, a one-off fee, or £7.99 per month, to include insurance. Hardly a welcoming start to my first contract!… Read Full Review

UTTERLY STAGGERING I am shocked that the Carphone Warehouse can find that blurting out unacceptable verbatim at people who have a valid complaint in answer to that complaint but does not resolve a single issue!! I received a Motorola Nexus6 8 days ago which has developed a fault, and by their own terms (document zzvmmowelc2001001 paragraph5), I contacted customer service to get a replacement sent out and this one returned. That is odd. I bought a new phone on a new contract. Decided after a day I didn't like it, they told me on the phone I could replace it in store. I went to my local shop and the guy there made a couple phone calls to make sure my number porting wouldn't be interrupted. Found a new phone for me but wasn't the colour I liked so ordered one in for the next day and it arrived the next day. I couldn't have asked for more.

The only thing the guy in store said...."always go in store", "don't deal with CW over the phone".

My windows phone became problematic after a system update. I took it to the geek squad in Merry Hill, who were most helpful. The phone, a Nokia Lumia, was still under guarantee and was fixed and returned to store for collection within a week. Since then the phone has worked excellently. before they sell you a device they ask you for insurance...if you refuse...they sell you a defected device(used?)...I bought a Samsung s4+contract.... after 2 months the phone didn,t work....they told its the water in it...?...no REPLACEMENT.... am paying monthly but can not use it...very unskilled,rude staff.....I JUST AVOID THIS COMPANY..AND TELL TO EVERYBODY I KNOW....!!!… Read Full Review

Lol. Person buys phone, gets liquid in it and expects a company to give them a new one! It's like crashing a car with no insurance, and expecting Ford to give you a new one!

Firstly I was due an upgrade, Carphone warehouse called me 8 times in the space of 2 days to get me to even though I stressed I didn't want a new phone at this precise moment and would upgrade in a month or so when I was less busy. I stated I had an iPhone 5 and was happy, in the end they persuaded me to change my tariff in which my contract would be only a couple pounds less. “Bristol Mall Carphone Warehouse Doesn't Even Deserve 1...”

In November this year I went into the Carphone Warehouse in the Mall in Bristol to get my husband a Samsung Galaxy phone upgraded from an ACE to an ACE 3 for Christmas on the Virgin network. There used to be a Virgin mobile shop in the Mall but it closed down, so CW was the only place I could go to. “Lame service”

After taking a contract with the carphone warehouse, I went in for help with changing some settings. They took my phone away from me to the manager who didnt want to come on the shop floor and deal face to face. “Atrocious Aftersales Services”

I had been a customer for years. When I brought my new phone (that was still under guarantee)in for a fault the aftersales services just proved to be unbelievably inefficient. They promised to notify me when my phone is ready, but that did not happen. I rang several times to get an update on the progress but nobody answered. I had been customer for 10 years and used them for my family of 4. So I assumed I was a reasonable customer. When I brought my new phone in for a fault things went very wrong. I wasn't sure about a phone and the only reason i bought it was because i was told i could chamge it if i changed my mind. only for me to be told later i cannot do that. i was sold the phone without actually knowing what it was like. the quality of the phone is too poor for a smart phone (lg l20) and now im stuck with it because they told me one thing and their policy said something different. “No compensation and no ombudsman to refer to ”

The experience with Carphone warehouse is a lottery. If your order is going through smoothly , the service is good : quick, polite salers. But if there is a problem with your order due to an error made by Carphone warehouse, it can take weeks to have it solved. It took them more than 20 days to have my upgraded contract working. That meant as many days without internet access from my phone, wasted hours trying to have this fixed by them. And at the end no compensation !! And there is no… Read Full Review

I received a phone call from Carphone Warehouse, claiming that they were EE! Due to this I went through with my upgrade, as I was non the wiser that in fact it was actually Carephone Warehouse that I was speaking to. Terrible customer service and their IT systems do not work properly with the networks they are meant to sign people upto. Never use them - they may appear cheaper but the hassle is not worth it. “Great prices, poor service.”

Over the last 8 months I have had to order four sets of phones from them. The good news is that they have always had the best price, which is what matters once you have the phone. The down side is that it can take a while to get it. Their stock system is nonsense. Of 4 orders that said they were in stock, 3 I instantly recieved an email saying actually it was out of stock and would be up to 2 weeks to get the phones (once they had taken the money of course) I don't know of any other online… Read Full Review
