“Mobile Contract Mis-selling”

When my sons company ordered a phone, he was required to pick up a phone from local branch. He was not provided with any documents as to the contract. I realised after a month that they had added the phone to my existing EE contract. When asked to rectify their incompetence they were merely sending me on a merry-go-round with no resolution. “Utterly Unacceptable Customer "Service"”

Utterly hopeless, DO NOT USE. I ordered a SIM free Galaxy S7 Edge at midday on the Monday, checked stock at my local store to ensure it was in-stock so I could collect that afternoon and completed the order. Everything is great and friendly while they are selling to you but if you have a problem it changes. You can be told you can have a different make of phone the next day that has been authorised ( the one I bought broke after 6 weeks and I have no confidence in the Huawei brand - went in to buy a Samsung and was told the Huwawei was vastly superior - in my opinion it is not) and the next day the manager of the store refused to uphold this promise. “Just didn't deliver...literally”

I ordered from carphone warehouse based on their promise of next day delivery. Not only was my order not delivered the next day (or the one after that, or the one after that), Carphone Warehouse also couldn't tell me when it would be delivered as they'd lost my order. “SIM FREE is not SIM FREE”

I bought an iPhone from Carphone Warehouse as a SIM FREE device as I already had a contract with EE. I have since moved and EE do not have coverage so I have entered into a new contact with O2. On placing the O2 SIM into my SIM FREE device I now discover that the phone was locked to the EE network. They do not and have never owned my phone. Carphone Warehouse: Hi, very sorry to see you have had issues with this handset, all iPhones sold by the Carphone Warehouse do lock to the initial Network (sim) entered into the device. This information is provided to our customers at point of sale and is within the terms and conditions of our website.
As a retailer Carphone Warehouse doesn't pre-load software onto any of the devices we stock, this is done by the individual manufactures and network providers.
I am very sorry to see you have had these issues and if there is anything further we can do to assist you, please do let us know.

Well lets start with paying for the phone to be unlocked, given that that was what I purchased. With regards to being told at point of sale, clearly that had not been done. As for your terms and conditions, can you tell me the font size and number of words. That is a blatant cop out.
I have purchased iPhone before and have not had this issue. As you stated above its the iPhones that Carphone Warehouse sells that do this. Not sure how you can avoid responsibility after admitting as much.

“The Worst Service From Mobile Providers”

I got an ID Sim Card from Carphone Warehouse. They said I have to wait for 24 hours for activation. 

After my sim card had not been activated I called them again and they said my post code is not in zone coverage.

I asked why they are selling product with to post codes where is not zone coverage and asked for contract cancellation. As I got this contract just few days ago - so I have been thinking they will cancel for me the contract. 

But they said I can cancel it just with 30 days notice. So now

I agree with everything you are saying about carphone. They are the worst mobile provider. I am tied in a 2 year contract, I have been with them for 7 months and I am now on my third phone.i asked to cancel my contract in the first 2 weeks with them. My phone stopped working and they refused to fixed it. The staff have no manners. They are quick to take your money and after that, they don't seem to care about who they upset. Second phone broke down and now I'm on my third phone. Very unhelpful. Avoid carphone warehouse at all cost.

“Worse service provider ever ”

Placed an order, paid for it then got an email saying that the item I ordered is out of stock. I was told to wait another two(!) weeks. Also it was said in the email that money will not be deducted from my bank account.The money was taken from my account in the same day. “Carphone, Lichfield - don't even think of going there”

Don't even think of going to this shop. They are very rude and ignore prospective customers who come through the door. I was left standing for 10+ minutes while 2 staff finished their chat. I bought a Samsung phone and was told that transferring files etc would only take a few minutes; it took 36 hours - and that was without photos being transferred. “Took ONE MONTH to process refund!!”

Absolutely ABYSMAL service from CarphoneWarehouse (ZERO STARS). Ordered an apple phone on click and collect. Unfortunately they failed to tell me it had arrived in store...missed the birthday it was intended for and so i cancelled the order 7 days later......then it took Over one month to process a refund!!, 5 calls to their south african (yes you read that correctly) run customer services who neither know how to deal with customers nor give service, they also are oblivious to their refund… Read Full Review
