Spent nearly 2 hours last night with online shop from Asda (almost £170!!) for delivery today between 3pm - 5pm. First ever online shop with Asda. Driver arrived half an hour late (i.e. after my two hour delivery slot and been and gone!). Made my first asda groceries online order for delivery today, driver arrived and was made aware of a slight substitute which was basically the same product so all OK with me. I have used Asda groceries since they started and have always found their staff extremely helpful. I have not had any problems with the delivery times except for the odd occasion and then they have always called to explain what was happening. When the delivery takes place I have found the the driver to be friendly and helpful. They have always shown any substitutions and if there is any problem they do their best to sort it out. ASDA Online Grocery Ordering! Rubbish. I ordered my food shopping Sunday for delivery Monday 29th between 5-7. I called at 7.08 and was told the delivery was just round the corner so should be 5 minutes. 7.38 - still no shopping. I have been an Asda customer for a while, even though the drivers have never proven to be really helpful (they would never explain which products had been substituted, missing, or even offer me to take my bags upstairs). Myself and my father was in asda minworth doing our weekly shop and he asked me to go and put his lottery ticket on, when i got to the desk the cashier asked me for id with very rude manor, i tried to explain that i am old enough and showed her my car keys, she was not having any of it , no customer service skills what so ever! Asda Grocery Delivery - It's obvious that a disabled person lives here as there is a ramp outside. We even write in the delivery instructions "limited mobility - help needed to carry goods to kitchen". These instructions are a waste of time, as they are ignored. Paid for home delivery. Not only did they not deliver ANY of the items I ordered but you cannot get any response from them. I am completely appalled by asda's delivery service as today during my delivery, the drive decided to steal from me. Whilst moving bags, which were dumped on the side of the road, the driver proceeded to pick my phone up whilst I was watching him, get in the van and drive away. On the last occasion (as I will not be using them again), they were over half an hour late, the driver was rude and the call centre terrible at dealing with the issue. “Asda Groceries online, how did i manage without it”

I am really not sure how I managed without online grocery shopping. Asda make it so easy I have saved money every week by using my supermarket and having the shopping transferred to asda. I can start making my list on Saturday and add items as I remember them in the week. The delivery slots are reasonably priced and always on time, any substituted items are usually fine if not better than expected. Saves time and money I cannot recommend more highly! (read more)

Never had a problem with asda home shopping, its easy for us as a family. The driver today was so nice and polite to me and my children who were helping me it really made us all smile. Usually they just stand there and make me unpack my shopping on my own as i live in a flat but he saw i was really struggling and helped the best he could whilst having a genuine conversation with me. My main issue is the best before/use dates of items delivered. A lot of the time ALL the fresh meat delivered has one day left on use by date meaning you end up freezing everything - although this improved recently. My first ASDA.com delivery had NINE items missing. Customer service agreed to deliver the missing items. After I followed up three times they said they would not deliver the missing items but would refund for them and also the £3 delivery charge. They eventually refunded an amount £4 less than it should have been. When I queried it they offered me a £3 e-token to be used at ASDA. They get one star for delivering on time,reading through other reviews that was rather an achievement. The delivery guy was really nice, polite & friendly too. But my wee order was a dozen bottles of a Shiraz on special offer & they substituted the dozen bottles for another label's Shiraz Cabernet. When I unpacked my shopping I found that at least one bag had been dropped/emptied on the ground and was filthy. It had all been shoved back in so I had to wash it all before putting it away. The peppers had jsut been shoved loose into the carrier bag and had to be thrown away due to damage. Without going into too much detail, having failed to deliver all my chilled items and therefore not having the ingredients of a meal, it took 6 calls to the call centre, totalling about three hours due to sitting on hold before I got my items 48 hours later. Not the biggest issue in the world but checked why there is a difference between order price and delivery price. I said okay why would I order anything if you can remove promotions or just change the prices before the goods are delivered I was told that this was in the T&Cs. I've shopped online with Asda twice as an alternative to Sainsburys whose delivery fees are a little pricey. I also find the shop works out cheaper overall with Asda for the same items. I've used the ASDA online service a few times, mainly when needing a larger shop. Sadly I haven't had a good experience, I've learned never to order any fresh produce at all as every time its been on or very close to the UBD. With regards to fresh meat/fruits that are bought by weight...just don't do it, you'll end up with either far less than you've asked for, probably due to the lack of weighing machines/scales in stores these days, clearly it would be too much trouble for the home... EVERY shop we have done with Asda has been late by at least 20 mins sometimes up to an hour and a half. We keep giving them another chance but no more, we will never use again. One positive, we havnt had issues with substitute products at all. We have had plenty of out of date or going out of date the next day products delivered. I felt after reading so much negative feedback it was only fair to give my own. I had a really good experience, goods arrived 15 minutes into my delivery slot and the delivery guy was very helpful. I did not order from Asda in a while because of the 'substitute' blunder that happens every time. Usually I order very often from Tesco's or Sainsbury's and I am happy with their service, Their substitutes make sense and they are very similar to the original product ordered unlike Asda. Their pickers substitute plain chicken breast fillets with Chinese sweet and sour marinated chicken etc. Today I received: instead of Dove ladies' deodorant, Nivea Men's one, instead of Jacobs Creek Shiraz Cabernet , Asda's Cabernet Suv (cannot compare the taste). I also ordered firming body milk and received make up cleansing lotion and instead of tooth paste I received a mouth wash. Absolutely ridiculous! I do not mind substitutes as long as they are very similar to the original product, otherwise I do not want them. I have to say that driver was very helpful but I felt sorry for him to wait while I was going through numerous bags to check do all substitutes so I decided to keep them. Due to this their greed and stupidity I decided that I will not order from them any more!
