Good Points: Angle v Benoit
Royal Rumble Match
Bad Points: Worst title match in living memory?
General comments: The Royal Rumble 2003 was the WWE's first pay per view of the year and we saw a fairly mixed affair ranging from the good to the bad to the downright ugly.
Big Show v Brock Lesnar: A great way to get the show started with the winner advancing to the Royal Rumble itself. Lesnar's intensity made this match as and the Show put on a battle of the giants to get this show on the road.
World Tag Team Championship - Regal & Storm v The Dudleyz: Standard stuff from these two teams, nothing to get excited about.
Dawn Marie v Torrie Wilson: The Diva's are good to look at, but that's about it.
World Heavyweight Championship - Triple H v Scott Steiner: If these two were wrestling in my back garden I'd have drawn the curtains. A slow and sluggish match which will do nothing for either man. A worst match of the year contender.
WWE Championship - Chris Benoit v Kurt Angle: The polar opposite to the Steiner/HHH snore-a-thon. Fast-paced and engaging action from two of the best in the business. Worth the price of the DVD alone.
The Royal Rumble Match: As always, this over the top-rope Battle Royal brings something different to the card. Although it was one of the top matches of the night it failed to live up to previous Rumble encounters.
