Good Points: Lots of features
General comments: No good having lots of features if graphics card keeps melting its fan which hangs upside down definatly a major design fault in my opinion as have now replaced three graphics cards in 3 years, now wont replace any more as outside of warranty period last one lasted 5 weeks cannot use normal graphics card as medions, fitted one comes with special plug for playing back via scart to tv no other card has this plug so tv playback is no longer possible once you change their fitted card. Therefore I do not recommend Medion P4

Decent spec, in my experience it overheats badly, graphics card very temperamental. Do not recommend Medion P4.

Overall, The characters, stages and lots more. is pretty good, in comparison to other desktops I've had in the past. It's been keeping up a steady performance for almost three years now, and the speed is still great. However, it would be much better if the bugs were resolved.

So wonderful! This batch was probably specially made for that special 'angebote', offer. I don't think I will buy any notebook from another brand. I bought my Medion P4 computer system in October 2003, and it still performs as well in October 2006 as it did in 2003. I had a 3 year guarantee, but nothing has happened to it so far.

I've had the Medion P4 MD 8083 computer system for more than 2 years now, and it still performs brilliantly! I was even considering getting another one, but I couldn't justify it.
Customer support were very friendly and helpful.
I would recommend it to all my friends.
Excellent!!!

The Medion P4 PC is our third Medion, including a laptop. All are working fine and never needed repairs. One call to tech support for a problem I created installing software was handled promptly by a knowledgeable tech rep. While on the line I complained about short battery life on the laptop, and they sent me a new battery with a mailer to return the old one.
I found this site looking for somewhere to buy another machine. Aldi only stocks them on rare occasions!

We have owned 2 Medion laptops, bought originally from Staples. The second one is a replacement of the first which spent so much time in their workshops having just about every part replaced, that they did agree to replace the whole laptop. The replacement laptop has lasted about 10 months before also refusing to start. We returned it to Medion under their guarantee, and it has now spent more than 6 weeks in their workshop. Despite at least 10 phone calls to their 'helpline', I have been tot ...

I purchased a Medion 4210 Composer in January 2005. To date I have contacted Medion twice on the phone - once for service, and once for advice. I was treated promptly and expertly both times. I like the computer very much, and find it excellent to use, especially with the photo work that I do a lot of, with the card reader at my side for the digital camera. I would buy this product again.

We bought this computer from Aldi (Medion Titanium 8386), and after two weeks, it stop working. After several attempts, we managed to speak with an 'advisor' who was not an engineer, and who "guessed" it was the hard drive. After a week they sent the engineer. Days after, the computer failed again, and this time they say it is the motherboard. It will come next week (two weeks waiting, lost data, no computer).

Based upon reading the reviews from the others, it definitely appears that the Medion P4 has a quality control problem. The first unit I brought home from Best Buy also wouldn't boot. Definitely an issue with the motherboard. However based upon the components included and the price I was willing to take a chance on the brand.

On Nov 1st I purchased a MD8084XL Medion P4 from Aldi's. This is my 4th Medion computer. Although the first one, an MD300, proved to be slow and not accectable, I purchased another because of there good support. After 10 days, the 8084's CPU fan went bad, (It sounded like a meat grinder in action.), I called Medion and was told I could send it in for repairs. (I refused to send a new computer in for repairs).
I returned it to Aldi's and recieved another unit. One day later it would not boot (P ...

Overall the Medion P4 system is pretty good, very quick. Bought from Aldi 14 months ago. A very quick and versatile computer. One major problem being the Re-writing facilities, they all of a sudden stopped recording and there is no help available from the support line. No answer to E-mail's and no answer by telephone. To summarize it is good system until you encounter a problem.

Bought from Aldi during November 2003 so I have had about 10 months use of my Medion Titanium MD8080XL. It cost £850 without a monitor. I have derived nothing but pleasure from using this machine and exploring it's many features - to date I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Medion to those on a limited budget who seek to get the very best value for their money. At the time of purchase I also bought a Medion surround sound set of speakers (about £30 from Aldi) which ...

Dreadful help line. only open 8 until 8 (they claim) but can never get an answer. Emails ignored.
Unable to get my Medion P4 Computer System fixed therefore after 6 months.
No good if you can not get it repaired under warranty.

After owning this Medion P4 for 6+ months, I find this computer to be wonderful value, Top grade components in the assemby by a German Company. As with any German made product which I know of, it stands head and shoulders above the competition for value. And I bought it at a grocery store! (ALDI'S)

Bought two Medion computers (one from Office Depot and the other from Aldi). Both were inoperable when unpacked and hooked up. Neither booted up. Each had motherboard problems.
The latest model was the Titanium MD8030XL. It's features sound great, it does everything but make coffee. Supposedly has TV, FM, and records on DVD from TV and digital as well as analog inputs. The same for audio. But all that hype means nothing if the units don't work when you get them home. Is that a sign of po ...

p4/2.66mhz/512mb/120gig/cd burner/dvd player/usb ports front and back/IEEE 1394 ports front and back/nvidia video card/ win XP home/and much more. I am very pleased with the performance of this computer. It responds quickly, it updates automatically and prompts me to install the updates. For $728. delivered, with no monitor, this was the deal that I have been waiting for. We have burned many cds with no problem and watched dvd movies with no problem.
