Good Points: Price was good, the free rides were great for the kids, friendly staff, overall very clean, accommodation was adequate for the price we paid.

    Bad Points: No freeview,

General comments: Great fun for the kids, good value for money, accommodation was clean. We were kept busy with the kids on the rides. We went out of season and it was busy so I can imagine massive queues during the school holidays..Glad to go back work for a rest!!!!!

Plenty of Free activities - Great Swimming Pool! Avoid the arcades unless you want to be skint!!! Overall if you are wise this can be a cheap break - and an enjoyable one at that!

We have been to Butlins around 8 times in the last 4 years and always have a brilliant time. Theres plenty to do, plenty to see and we haven't had a single bad experience. We have been both half board and self catering in all three standards of accomodation. Half board food is very good and self catering is a little bit pricey but we haven't had a bad meal - the sun and moon pub does very good food as does papa johns. We are going back next month with our friends and there two children, who have ...

Realy very good and value for money, We stay in silver half board room, with maid service, and each time we have been we havent had a complaint. The rooms are claen on arrivel with beds made up, easy check in and directions to challets, and very close to the main entertainments and dining court. I am a very fussy eater and wouldnt eat anything that didnt look smell or teast rite, but the food at butlins is good and i have eaten a wide range of their food, and gone back for more, you aslo get t ...

I have just come back today from Skegness(although we should have been going to Minehead but read some awful reviews and asked Butlins to change our site which they did no problem) We took our 2 boys aged 13 and 11. We had a great time plenty for us all to do. The boys enjoyed the pool and the go karts the best, but we did plenty of other things as well. The complex itself is very clean and tidy and the staff very helpful. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. We would go back again ...

I have been going to various Butlins sites since I was a child. I think they are a great holidays for family's and adult weekends alike. the accommodations is ok for the amount of money you pay; the entertainment is fantastic. I think they could do with tidying the accommodation up a bit now as it is starting to get a bit grubby again. On saying that i would defiantly go again. Fantastic no frills fun.

The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Our TV had a faulty volume button, and after reporting it at 8am, it was replaced within 1 hour!!! For the price, around 70.00 pound per person, half board, for 5 days, it was EXCELLENT value for money!! However, I feel that if we were to go in High Season (August), the price would be too expensive.

Had a look at Butlins Gold accommodation, which would be great if you got a last minute cheaper deal where I would say that was value for money, however with all the extras for people with children I would forget about this and look at going abroad! Food OK but soon got bored, lots of unhealthy options, not fresh. Night time activities could not cater for large groups so getting a seat at 7/7.30 was unrealistic! Drinks cost a fortune in bars. Access to beach closes at 7pm so no nice walks along ...

Overall happy with standard accommodation and food. But if you can afford it go for gold! Very good for young children and disabled, but avoid school holidays if you can!

If you want a holiday where all the fun is included in the price then go to Disney Land. If you want a holiday that your children (not necessarily you) can enjoy, then go to Butlins. My daughter is only 20 months old, and although she could not use the rides, she thoroughly enjoyed the soft play, which was monitored by staff. We have booked to go again next year, but we have opted to go for a gold apartment in the hope we might get a better deal for our money. The secret at Skegness is not to ...

We have just returned from a four-day break at 'Planet Butlins', Skegness. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We paid over £800 for 2 OAP's, 2 Adults and 2 children (13 and 8), in Silver accommodation on a half board basis for 4 nights. This has got to be the worst value holiday we have ever had. We were so disappointed that we left a day early, and how we stuck it for that long is anyone's guess. Accommodation Far below average expectation. The beds were no more than ...

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Skeggy Butlins. It was our for Butlins experience and will certainly go back. We have done Haven, Park Resorts, British Holidays and Pontins in the past and Butlins is far superior. The staff are very friendly and the resort was very clean.

We love Butlins, and there is plenty of entertainment for the whole family, but Skegness is by FAR the worst Butlins resort. We would never go back, even though it is the closest. We would rather drive the six hours to Minehead. It is dirty, the accommodation was average, and not very well cleaned. The cups were dirty, and there was hot chocolate stains on the spoons from the last guests. Mould was on the shop windows, and the Red Coats were more interested in checking out the male talent on hol ...

I felt that we would be having a cheap weekend away at Butlins in Skegness, but unless you take your own things to do and your own food to cook, you will be paying out a lot of money each day. A couple of kids can go through literally 10's of pounds a day in the arcades, and activities and the food, though not unreasonable, really adds up.

We had a wonderful time at Butlins in Skegness! The shows that we saw were very well put together, and my daughter loved the Character Explosion and Milkshake - the Chanel 5 show. There are some great adult shows too, although it would be nice if some shows were adult only, because some parents think it's OK to have babies and toddlers out until all hours, and the little ones are crying because they are tired. Maybe Butlins should offer an evening babysitting service!

I go to Butlins in Skegness every year, and I still enjoy it. There is lots to do for adults and children, and it is definitely good value for money, as all the activities are free!

I love Butlins in Skegness! I go every year. It is full of the cream of Britain. The language in the air is a little blue, as are the black tights and white stiletto's, but if you want a reasonably priced holiday, a good laugh, and time with your family, then you can't beat it!
