    Good Points: Strong as iron

    Bad Points: Still looking

General comments: I own two of these shotguns.

One is a Stalker Magnum for Canadian goose hunting. I hand painted it camo all except for the barrel and took about an inch off the stock because goose hunting shots are mostly sitting and this shot gun has a long reach. That is not a bad thing. I believe thats why its more accurate it forces you to hold the gun correctly, which most of us don't. A 3 1/2 inch shell BBB steel shot can easily drop a honker as far as 40yards. Yes I've done it several times. The magnum shells will score the barrel at first but dont be worried the barrel soon gets broke in and shoots great.
The second one I own is a 12 guage Grade III. I know you can't find one anywere. The Browning web site says they only come in 16 guage. I found this little gem on Gunbroker.com from New Jersey. It is the most beatiful shotgun I've ever owned. I shoot trap, skeet, and field hunt with it. It's a 3 inch chamber. The barrel is actually true blued steel (meaning it blue not black) like the oldies were. Great gun. If you can find one buy it. Not only will you have a great gun , but it will never lose it value.

I got the Browning BPS when I "stole" it for $350. The guy knew I was a kid and wouldn't be able to give the full value. I use this gun for squirrels and rabbits and the occasional trip to the trap range. I only shoot 2.75 shells out of it but it can handle any size 12 out there. This gun is great for a kid like me and I love it.

The gun points and shoots well, and contrary to the prevalent belief you could strip and reassemble it fairly easily. I have used all except 3 1/2 magnum shells and have had no problem whatsoever over the past four years. Even in temperatures as low as -25 C, the gun functions perfectly. I bought the pump gun primarily for its reliability, and so far I have had no problems either in trap, skeet, sporting clay or field shooting. I use the same gun, and I am not a big believer in having separate g ...
