Good Points: Rather original (it's an idea that's been tried before, but this time it worked)
Great characters
Great stories
Great everything
Bad Points: "They" (the big They that tends to be be the one we blame for everything, the people with the money who don't get imaginative people) killed it. Too few programs.
General comments: Firefly - The Complete Series - This is a wonderful series. I could go on about the character types and how they relate to the stories and each other, but instead let me just suggest thatr you run out and pick up the boxed set of the programs. I really believe this could have been one of the lasting TV series had it been given time to find it's audience. Unfortunatly it was killed before they finished even the first season. Think about Star Trek. The first year very few people watched it and many didn't find it until years after the network had killed it in its third season and it was in syndication. So here we are. The Network executives didn't get it, so no one else must be able to get it either. Had it been another Buffy the Vampire Slayer maybe they would have understood it. At any rate we lost a really good thing here and I do hope it gets discovered by more people now that it's available on DVD. If there is a buck (or pound) to be made maybe we'll see it come back. I hope.

It charts the escapades of Captain Mal Reynolds and his rag tag crew as they travel the colonised worlds seeking employment of the legal and not so legal variety whilst avoiding trouble, especially from the ruling Alliance who are interested in two very special passengers...
Firefly showcases Joss Whedon at his very best. The ...- Read k munbodh's review (172 words)
