Good Points: Very thought provoking and well done erotic thriller: Why so erotic: Lane has often been called the thinking man's crumpet and her sex scenes with Martinez (Kylie Minogue's ex) sizzle. But it's the fear of being caught and the risks both lovers take that really supercharges Adrian Lyne's erotic thriller.
General comments: Whereas most films dealing with adultery provide a reason for the infidelity, Unfaithful doesn't. Viewers must decide for themselves why Lane takes such a risk. As Richard Gere said while promoting the film: "Even if you play by the rules in life, the universe has its own set of rules and they will screw you up every time."
