This holiday was booked sometime ago and was a promotional holiday that cost £100 for 2 weeks accommodation. We had to attend a presentation as part of the deal. We have owned timeshare previously for around 15 years and would say we are experienced with reps etc.
We have been to Tenerife on 5 previous occasions all in timeshare accommodation.
At Beverley Hills Club we were allocated a studio apartment with a nice view, but it wasn't clean, it was tired, twin beds on permanent display. Not what i would choose and certainly not what i expected or what i am use to.For the whole of the 2 weeks there was constant building work taking place on site, this was tile grinding and cement mixing, very noisy! We had trouble with the plumbing the sink, bath and toilet would not empty. This caused the bathroom to flood which also went into the kitchen and living area. Although maintenance arrived quickly and eventually sorted it out it did occur several times so the problem was never really fixed.
The resort itself is classed as a Gold Crown resort, in my opinion the resort is no better than a 3 star hotel and i feel that is complimentary. I felt the best part of the resort was the swimming pools well kept with lifeguards and also very empty!
We food in the onsite restaurant was quite good value for money, however the happy hour was a joke and the cost of drinks rose by a third in a week, ie they appeared to have raised the cost for the busiest weeks! We did have an issue with this and the charging of drinks to our room. We were treated disgracefully by the duty manager over us asking for the bill to be reduced by 8 euro! as the management wouldnt move and accused me of being dishonest i refused to pay the full bill and took credit card authorisation off them so i could pay in cash. I was then threatened with the police over 8 euro! I paid the bill in full to avoid any unnecersary issues.
The presentation was informative and did take over 6 hours! We were offered a business opportunity rather than purchasing weeks. At first it looks attractive but no guarantees and they wanted £25000 up front! We declined but then got the hard push from the senior rep. we didn't buy the business and to be honest i would never go to a XL hotel or resort again. We were poorly treated the resort was not of a standard i expect and it was dirty. The resort is at the top of a hill and a little away from anything of note. The resort private bus service is excellent but does not go on into the evening s it was taxis at night.
As for Tenerife itself, we noticed a sharp decline in people numbers from our last visit 2 years ago, shops and restaurants closed etc.

We stayed there in October 2003. We were very pleasantly surprised by the resort after seeing the General aspect of Los Christianos, We took a rental car for the week as we used the Resort to explore Tenerife. However there is a free shuttle bus every half hour to the Playa Las Vistas which is a very nice beach and within easy walking distance of the lively area of Las Americas. Los Christianos beach which is about 15 minutes walk away from Beverley Hills Club but is not worth a visit(rocks a ...

I loved the Beverley Hills Club. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. There is a crocodile club for the children, which has a dedicated time when they can use the floats in the swimming pool. It is in quite a hilly area, but there is courtesy bus, which takes you to the beach and back. It is also only 10 inutes walk away from the beach, which means it is near enough to walk, but is also in a nice quiet area.
