Good Points: The delectable Johnny Depp. Some good historical tie-ins. Good costumes.
Bad Points: Rather bad acting from Miss Heather Graham (cockney accent smacks of Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins). Some may say too gory.
General comments: From Hell is billed as a tale of sinister Victorian England in the grip of a psychopath who seeks out East end prostitutes to butcher them.It doesn't disappoint. The film is full of gory, body harvested scenes, which for me, makes the story less scary.Nothing is left for the viewers imagination.Johnny Depp is back to Edward Scissorhands form, creating a character that the audience will completely empathise with.
