Good Points: None
Bad Points: The entire film is evil. The character "Freddie" is far too scary in my opinion, that song "one, two Freddie's coming for you.....", haunted me for a long time as a result of watching this movie. Being a nine year old child at the time, I firmly believed that I would be hacked to death as I slept for many years after witnessing this gore fest, and I have suffered with sleeping orders ever since really.
General comments: I am no longer a fan of the Nightmare On Elm Street movie genre at all. At the time of Freddie's early escapades I was subjected to movies such as Hellraiser, The Evil Dead, Omen and several of the Friday The 13th series, and I think the subject matter contained in this movie is too horrendous and bloodthirsty for children. Although all my brother's fault, I would implore all parents to be more vigilant than my own legal guardians with respect to what can actually fall into the possession of your kids while you are out boozing down the bingo or working men's club. I have since attempted to watch Stephen King's IT, but I had to turn it off.

Nightmare On Elm Street 1 - Overall, one of the greatest horror films I have seen to date. It had some sick & twisted moments which were great to see and I would recommend this film to any good horror fan.
