Good Points: It's Funny, Exciting
Bad Points: No Gore, not a bit scary
General comments: Child's Play is Chucky's first slaying and it starts the series off pretty well. It's Andy's birthday and he gets a nice little gift. A psychotic murderous possessed little doll named Chucky, who wants to transfer his soul into poor little Andy. This film has a few jumpy bits which will have horror amateurs looking from behind the sofa. If your a gore hound this film won't exactly do the job (watch Bride and Seed of Chucky for that). But if you like a nice safe little horror that won't make you have sleepless nights or puke your guts up this is for you.

Child's Play - When I first saw this film at a friend's, I thought it would be scary but it's not really at all unless you have a thing about dolls, etc. Chucky is very funny when he's swearing and stuff and I love the storyline and at the end when you think it's all over. The only bit I don't like is when he's trying to kill Andy because he's so cute! I love it when Karen finds out the doll's been working without any batteries in him. An old but good film. But shame you can't buy it anymore.
