Cocktail is an enjoyable, girly film.
Based upon young Brian Flannagan who, after leaving the Army, has big plans of working in an office in the city. After numerous interviews and no luck due to having no experience, he starts a college course, he gets a part-time job in a bar.
There, his new friend Doug teaches him the tricks of the trade and together they soon become the most famous bartenders in town. They have dreams of one day opening up their own bar "Cocktails and Dreams." To earn some money Brian decides to work in Jamaica. While there he meets a young girl from a wealthy family named Jordan and they quickly fall in love; however, when his old friend Doug turns up and dares him to woo and older women, he cannot resist. Jordan sees Brian and the other women together and leaves on the first flight back to New York. Will Brian be able to patch things up with Jordan and will Cocktails and Dreams ever become a reality? Watch it and see!!
It's an enjoyable film, not really run-of-the-mill, and it does have its odd moments but it's an easy watch. It is good enough for a rainy day!
