Good Points: Expertly crafted account of the last 40 - 50 years of American history.
    Brilliant performance from Tom Hanks.

    Bad Points: None really.

General comments: This is not simply an account of one man's life in America; it is an account of relatively recent American History through the eyes of one man. His lack of intelligence seems not to prevent him from having a fantastically active life - meeting Elvis Presley, becoming a war hero in Vietnam, and even having a hand in the Watergate Scandal.

A brilliant documentation of recent events, 'Forrest Gump' is knowledgeable, intelligent, enjoyable and excellently acted. 'Forrest Gump' is a triumph, and it can easily be considered as one of the greatest films of all time.

The film Forrest Gump follows the life of, well, Forrest Gump. He is simple boy with a low IQ who goes on to do great things. The film is told by Forrest himself while he is waiting for a bus. Starting with his childhood, moving onto his time at college, serving in vietnam, playing ping pong for america, running a multi national shrimp company, meeting more than one american president and being a major share holder in a small 'fruit and veg company' are all just small parts of his life.
