    Good Points: Excellent when it works.


    Bad Points: Keeps on switching iteslf off.


    General comments: I have had 2 of these, and the same thing has happened to both. All of a sudden it will switch itself off, and will not play DVD or Audio disks for longer then 10 minutes.

    The Toshiba SD-42HK has played most disks without too much trouble.

    However, other disks that run fine with other DVD players I've played them in, now play in pseudo black and white. The film Double Vision plays in B&W entirely, but plays in colour on my computer DVD. Error correction does not seem as good as other brands DVD players I have tried. One disk caused the DVD to freeze in several places - the same disk in my computer played fine. Perhaps I got a bad model. I can only sugges ...
