    Good Points: Original site design


    Bad Points: Can't think of any!


    General comments: I have been visiting ukhotmovies.com since about 2002 when it was first launched. Quality reviews and fast-loading trailers.

    Love the fact that they change their shopping links to always send visitors to cheapest retailer for any particular DVD or video. They don't have an exclusive contract with any one merchant.

    Also, these guys don't maintain a mailing list - so enter their competitions with the security of knowing you will not receive email after email promoting all kinds of junk.

    I always enjoy visiting ukhotmovies.com and it's not just because I won a Disney animation box-set in a recent competition!

    There used to be loads of good movie sites, especially in the States, but I have got put off them of late. Why? Because they are now plastered full of adverts. There are banners above the review, below the review, left of the review and right of the review - and behind as well! Arrrghhhh!

    Also the Yankee sites obviously review flicks from an American perspective. Often their dates are completely out of sync with the UK: films out on DVD across the Atlantic are sometimes just being released i ...

    I have been a regular visitor to ukhotmovies for a couple of years now. From its humble beginnings it has grown to becoming one of the best-designed entertainment sites in the UK. Most other sites seem to be stuck in the pre-Millennium dial-up connection era. Ukhotmovies will probably not be the fastest site in the world if you have a slow dial-up connection, but if you have broadband - which is an essential for visiting broadband sites anyway - ukhotmovies will provide you with a state-of-the-a ...

    UKHotMovies.com is a mini-film portal. As the name suggests, it caters for a British audience (although the 'hot' does not refer to anything saucy!) It has several different sections, including film reviews, features, galleries, and more. Each of these can be easily found.

    My favourite section is the interactive. This features polls which are updated every month or so. It's fascinating to know what people have voted for and I visit this section regularly! There are also film polls in the int ...
