Good Points: Great story, excellent acting, beautiful cinematography, sharp script and wonderful sound track.
Bad Points: Almost flawless.
General comments: Whenever the annual 'top 100 films of all time' lists are compiled as they inevitably are around every Christmas, I can't help but naturally feel short-changed. The Graduate is the epitomy of what cinema means to me as a film lover. Great story-line based on a complex love-story. Excellent acting from the then 29 year-old Dustin Hoffman, Anne Bancroft and Katherine Cross. A sharp script which balanced comedy and drama with such precision, you would inevitably get paper-cuts from just reading the inlay card! All this married with a soundtrack exclusively supplied by the sublime Simon & Garfunkle, and cinematography so lovingly produced, will always make this film a top 5 for me every single time.
