Good Points: Great film, lovely animation. A must for all wannabe young witches.
General comments: Any Miyazaki film is worth watching, I'd recommend them all (but watch them before you let your kids watch them, a couple are a bit more violent than Kiki & Totorro)... Anyway...
Kiki (voiced by a young Kirsten Dunst in the English version) is the story of a young witch who, as she turns 13, has to go out on her own as a kind of work experience! She sets of with her trusty black cat Gigi (Phil Hartman, you may remember him as Troy McClure in the Simpson's before his sad death) on her broomstick in search of a town. She settles on starting a delivery service (as you may have guessed) for a bakery, as flying is her only witch skill. Thus follows adventure, a loss of confidence and a bit of romance. My daughters love it!
