Good Points: cheap, region free, plays most types of media file, good selection of connectors to connect to your amp, tv, etc.. , mine is still running now after 4 years, only had to open it about 6 months ago to clean the lens, and it now runs like new again.

Bad Points: It can be a bit iffy with some cheep dvd-r's that are burned fast, by this i mean you can sometimes get artifacts at random times during playback of copied films, this can be made better though with a slower copy method 12X speed is good

General comments: Worth the 89 pounds i payed for it, and i would buy another if i needed to

I received this for Christmas and it was so easy to set up and get running. Everything required came in the box, except a DVD to watch ;-)
Operation is easy and I've not had a problem using it yet.

Absolutely well chuffed about this Logix DVD3000 DVD player. Always said I would wait until the recordable ones are cheaper but at this price and with the features on offer I couldn't! Fed up of watching them through a 17" monitor!
Also received a hardware patch from my friends over at CD-WOW who I bought it from which is meant to correct a lip-sync glitch on VCD's (which I've not actually come accross). As other reviews say, for the money you can't go wrong really. Also verified as I was not s ...

Logix 3300 DVD player bought on special offer from Tesco. Initially very impressed with features and picture and sound quality ... BUT 10 to 12 minutes into each DVD the picture 'Stuck' either temporarily (in which case it jumped to catch up) or permanently (needed to restart DVD and fast forward). This is not acceptable and spoiled viewing pleasure. Returned to store for refund, and alternative to be considered from better known manafacturer. Features seemed good for price, but I suppose yo ...

Got this Logix DVD3000 DVD player for Xmas to go with a home cinema system and it's a fantastic buy. Picture quality is excellent. Sound (via amplifier and digital coax) is great. I can't honestly see how a more expensive player could be better. Backed by 3 year guarantee from Asda as well! I'm not planning to upgrade until DVD recorders are cheaper!

The New Logix 3300 (yes 3300, not 3000) gives DVD players costing a lot more a serious kicking. Having owned a Sony (or as called it "Go create back to the shop 7 times")a Philips (never again) and a Toshiba (impulse buy!!),the Logix 3300 has got them all beat, it is slimmer than the 3000, is silver and has the best output I have ever seen - even on my 36" Digital TV. Go get one now!

When I first received this DVD player the sound would not work.. when I recieved the second one the sound worked for ten minutes then cut out totally... when I was sent the third one and plugged it in... nothing. No power was getting to the unit at all....

.. so, now I am getting my money back and getting a player from a maker with a good name!! don't touch Logix with a barge pole (a long stick for anyone who doesn't know what a barge pole is)

In general I like this unit. Its ideal for my application, that of watching the odd rented DVD on my portable TV. However I would not recommend it for any serious Home Theatre buffs. The main reason for this is that it does not handle transitions between dark areas of the image very well. Bright images are perfect, but dark backgrounds with subtile variances tend to appear blocky. I have verified this using my acid test - watching the opening sequence of Batman where my friend's player does a fa ...

For a Basic Player it does an awful lot for the money. Sound is faily good and picture ok. If you are prepared to put up with the occasional hickup then this player is worth a look. In the end you get what you pay for.

Excellent DVD player at a superb price, plays anything and everything you put in it, sound and picture quality are excellent too, all in all a great machine, if it had a better name on it everyone would rave about it!

I was a bit uncertain when I bought the Logix DVD3000. Unfortunately it had recieved a lot of bad reviews from various sources. I believe this to be because it is not a top brand name and no one seems brave enough to say so.
It plays DVDs better than most in its price range and its mp3 player certainly isn't bad. Many reviews mention that the sound is not good. This is not true. A lot depends of the amplifier you use and the speakers that you plug the sound through and of course you hearing !

Sound quality is pretty good. Very easy to use menu system. In conjunction with an S-video cable this produces very sharp and colourful pictures.

Tested with several DVDs and on some scenes where there is fast action, the colour is not synchronised with the picture.

If it wasn't for that minor flaw, the machine would be an excellent buy.

Can't really complain 'cos of the price and its many features.
