      Good Points: Brilliant film - well acted, beautifully shot, fabulous soundtrack.


      Bad Points: A bit over dramatic at times.
      Some subplots that went nowhere.


      General comments: As a US filmmaker, Asoka has turned out to be one of my all time favorite films. Both actors really gave a lot to the material. The director of photography is to be commended - it was gorgeously shot. I loved the settings and costumes, as well. Story moves along at good pace, very epic in content and style. The love story takes centre stage and is gorgeous. By US standards, quite chaste and non-gory. More of these would be wonderful!
