Good Points: Excellent service. Friendly staff. Food is out of this world. Owners do not live in the hotel but have a very hands on approach even down to driving us to their restaurant on the Glosglockner. Booked again for this year.
Bad Points: Avoid rooms to the rear. No balconys and no view.
General comments: This was our third visit to Austria and so far the best. Hotel St. Georg is a small but friendly establishment where great comaradery develops amongst the guests who are nearly all English people. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the town and is on a steep hill.
The food was great and plentiful and the service really friendly. Once a week wine tasting is offered and this was excellent. There is a small pool and larger sauna area available. There's also an exercise room which is tiny and poorly equiped.
Recommended for people who wish to have a relaxing time and a little bit of luxury.

It took us 26 hours to get there by couch and ferry but man was it worth it 6 days of sking on some of the best slopes i have ever seen. Shame about the prices of drinks up on the mountain though. 3.50 euros for ONE glass of coke.
