“A must to watch for everyone.”

Life is beautiful is a movie that talks about the story of a family facing the horrors of a Nazi camp. It revolves around the interior force of a father, his innate happiness and immagination which help him creating an enjoyable environment for his son and his wife and give them hope for the future. Roberto Benigni is not acting in this movie, he puts himself in it and brings all his life beliefs creating a masterpiece. There is no more to say about the story, this is for sure one of the most emotional movies I ever watched, you just must watch it and feel it.

“True touching movie. Two sides of the human being.”

I love how the writer and the actor came together and made this movie a tragicomedy. It was a pleasure to watch it. You find yourself between masive sadness and truthful happiness. It happens in the time of the Nazis, where the jews were not accepted. The movie reflects two sides of human nature, the best one and the worst one, and how a small quantity of hope can help humans in times of crisis. I must say its a movie to watch in a quiet place, so you can comprehend it entirely. Its a family movie, there are no grafical parts, but adults get to understand the cruelty within those jokes. I have to admit, it's my favorite movie since I saw it. It's very touching and moving. You will most likely cry.

“If you don't like this film you may already be dead.”

A film about the Nazis where no one sheds a tear except for every single person I know who has ever seen it, including all the men. Unbelievably uplifting, this is not some Speilbergesque epic or the usual onslaught of historical atrocities which many of us have grown weary of or at least immune to. Life is Beautiful is a little gem which will both break and mend your heart in one sitting. You have to get passed the over excitement at the start, which seems to bug the men more so than the ladies, and let the characters grow a little but it is so worth it to stick with this film until the end. Magnificent!

“Life Is Beautiful (La Vita bella) has to be one of...”

Life Is Beautiful (La Vita bella) has to be one of my all time favourite movies.

Written, directed and starring one of Italy's finest, Roberto Benigni. This is a movie about overcoming the odds. A fantastic insight into the human spirit fighting against adversity. It is about the greatest act of love and self-sacrifice from a father and husband facing the horrors of the Nazi concentration camps.

This movie is one that will remain in your heart, and open your eyes to the true nature of humanity.

Make sure you have a stack of tissues by your side when you watch this.
