Good Points: This is my first camera, I read the reviews on here first and brought it because of the price. I only paid £50 for it.
General comments: I have been happy with the camera, I use it on windows xp and I dont even have to download the software-xp finds it for me.I The quality of the pictures taken are good too and I have found it easy to use.

This Fuji Finepix 1300 is one of the best digital cameras in it's price range with similar features. It's colour, contrast, and lack of colour aberrations make it a great outdoor camera. For example, it's replacement, the A101, had aberrations in the corners of the image, as do many pricier cameras. Although subjects within it's short flash output range are sharp and well exposed, backgrounds (in large halls etc) have a "tunnel" effect as they are so dark. Subjects need to be in front of a light ...

The Fuji Finepix 1300 is a surprisingly good digital camera - I've had it for several months now and long ago recovered its cost in film and developing. At least as good as typical APS compact, without worry of cost. Highly recommended for anyone other than the serious photographer.
Digital zoom is pointless.

I LOVE THIS FUJI FINEPIX 1300 DIGITAL CAMERA!! It is light and good looking (and you can't say this for the majority of digital cameras!!) It has all the basic features you need in a camera (timer, flash options in different lighting situations, print ordering, easy download to computer, adaptor that will allow smart media to be used in 3.5" floppy directly). The 8MG card that comes with it is adequate plus you can buy a 64MG memory card for about $25 and that will allow you to take up to 700 pi ...

The Fuji Finepix 1300 looks like a well specified digital camera for the price. Can anyone assist in software problems for win98, as software supplied with camera obviously will not work and I really would like to download some images. If you have been there I would appreciate enlightenment.

The Fuji Finepix 1300 digital camera and all its software and components were very easy to use. It gives amazingly high quality images considering the relatively low cost. I am not a very "camera literate" person, but I cannot see how anyone would find this camera anything but great. I have taken it with me everywhere!

Great first digital camera
If you aint got much money but want a dig cam then I would give this Fuji Finepix 1300 a high rating
My brother has had a few cameras better and worst than this and for the price the finepix 1300 is the one to go for
but buy rechargable batteries (its a must) also get a case because you dont get one with the camera
It comes with a 8mb card which is good but if you're going on holiday/vacation then get a 64mb
If you take basic pics which are ok then you can get 36 ...

The Fuji Finepix 1300 digital camera is deceptively easy to run despite the contrary view created by the unnecessarily complicated instructions. Compared to my film camera it will still be number 2 but as a fun thing, it's great.

Unbelievable service from Internetcamerasdirect.co.uk.
Ordered my digital camera at 3pm Thursday and camera arrived 9am Friday. Also ordered 32Mb additional memory as the price when bought with camera was unbeatable.
Have thoroughly researched this digital camera for price around the Internet and NO company can match the price on offer here. Free delivery as well.
Unbelievable deal !!!

As A First Time User Of Digital Cameras ,I Have Found This Unit Very Easy To Set Up And Operate. Excellent Results On Photographs Taken. Easy Instructions To Download To PC Giving A Very Professional Finish To Items Transferred. Changed Me From Being Apprehensive About This Kind Of Photography, To Looking Forward To Spending Lots Of Time With A New Found Hobby.

I am very disappointed in this camera. I bought it after reading all the good reviews about it, but not as good as I thought. It's complicated and can only use it with the free downloaded software as the one that came with it is hopeless.

I am very happy with the camera, when it's working.
The batteries supplied lasted about 2 hours. I purchased a top line Varta charger and hydride batteries. It seems to dislike the cold and I always have problems getting it going.
I kept getting 'unrecognised device' errors on initial installation and the Fuji technical support line was useless.
Fortunately I work in IT support and managed to get it working after a complete re-installation of Windows.
I recommend if anyone else gets this er ...

I bought the Mega Special with charger, batteries and 32mb Smartcard.
It arrived 3 days later (although somewhat slung in a box) but all working perfectly.
I have found it to be excellent and a worthwhile buy and that's without the good software and web space.
My Advice:Go For It!

I have just been using my digital camera for 4 weeks, the size the comfort and ease of use is just magic, I've compared images from more expensive cameras with much higher mega pixels and up to now I can't see any difference, I'm delighted with my Finepix 1300.

The Fuji Finepix 1300 represents excellent value for money for those making their first breakthrough into digital photography, but only want a basic camera for simple snaps. The photos produced are small enough to be emailed to friends and family without clogging up their telephone line (300kb each), yet the quality is good enough to be blown up to A4 size (if you want to) without serious deterioration.
At the time of writing (Sept 01), this is one of the cheapest digital cameras on the mark ...

Extremely pleased with this digital camera. After having hunted around the shops this was by far the best deal I could find. The picture quality is great for a basic camera. A mate has the finepix 2400 and there's not much between the two. It's really easy to use so long as you choose the auto setting. For a basic camera if you turn auto off you seem to be able to set most options manually (I'm definitely not a professional photographer). The flash has a surprisingly good range. If you go for th ...

This was my first experience of a digital camera and I have not been disappointed. The 1280 x 960 resolution together with the wide-angle lens gives incredibly sharp pictures with accurate colours. It's worth forking out the extra to get the NiMH batteries and additional 32Mb card, which can store 50 pics at the highest quality. The NiMH batteries last OK, but the camera sucks the life out of ordinary batteries at the same speed as the shutter.
The camera is easy to use, and copes well with a ...

I had borrowed a friends Fuji DX10, so the finepix 1300 was always in my top 5 when looking. In the end, experience of Fuji was the overriding factor and I haven't been disappointed. The 8mb card is great for storing lots of pics. Stumbled over internetcamerasdirect on a web search to see who had it in stock and was surprised to see how much they undercut others. And the icing on the cake was... ordered lunchtime, delivered the following morning at 8.30

Very pleased with this digital camera which I basically wanted to use in the introduction to IT classes which I teach. Needed to be simple, reliable and reasonably good image quality. The Finepix 1300 has fulfilled all my requirements
