    Good Points: Easy to use
    Price - only $39

    General comments: Being new to encryption I decided to try a product called ArticSoft FileAssurity that was advertised as being easy to use. I read a few of the papers on the company's web site (they were a very interesting read) and felt comfortable that the company new what they were talking about.

    I needed a product that could securely send documents to another party. This product is great for that purpose. The person I send these secure documents to downloaded the free reader software from ArticSoft's site and once they had generated a key and sent it to me we were in business.

    The documents I send are extremely confidential - I feel very safe using FileAssurity as after reading their papers about the insecurity of password systems I am in no doubt it was $39 well spent.

    The product has other features that let you digitally sign files and securely delete them which I will no doubt use at a later stage but so far I am happy with what I am doing. Their support team was equally efficient and answered my questions - I can see why other people have praised them so highly.

    If you have not been to ArticSoft's web site - www.articsoft.com - then it is worth a visit just for the free beginners guides to security, the trial software, the security demos, and the papers. One of my favorite things was the SSL spoofing demo but see for yourself.
