    Good Points: Very fast, for performance fans everywhere


    Bad Points: Not very practical, and very expensive


    General comments: The standard Toyota Supra is a 3.0L in-line six twin turbo(engine code: 2JZ-GTE). Although I'm not sure about European or Japanese models the U.S. version is rated at 320bhp and 333lbs. of torque. Although this is potent and enjoyable, performance enthusiasts will agree, if you can get more out of it, why not try?
    So, the stock twin turbos were removed in favor of a much larger Powerhouse Racing modified T-66 single turbo. To help out the much larger turbo a Greddy 4-row intercooler was introduced, as well as a polished, Powerhouse Racing intake manifold. On the exhaust side, custom stainless steel headers, a 3.5" downpipe, 3.5" mid-pipe, and an HKS Super Dragger II were added to increase flow.
    The transmission was helped out by a B&M Short Shifter and an RPS dual plate Carbon Fiber Clutch, and a custom(Powerhouse Racing) aluminum Flywheel. Of course fuel system and the introduction of numerous computers were also needed to help with the 24 pounds of boost that the turbo created. The eventual result was 631 rwhp at 24 pounds of boost.
    The car handles well although in tight turns the back-end definitely tends to break loose due to the intense horsepower. Drag Launching is a difficult proposition since the car has no power additives to help with the turbo spool. However, spinning the tires at 80 m.p.h. on the highway takes no effort at all. It has some of the most amazing top end of any car I have ever driven but since I have not had it to a track or a location in which I can test the true top end I do not know the actual numbers. I have had it up to the 180 m.p.h. mark on the speedometer with some power left(although admitidly not much). Mine is one of many high performance Supras built by Powerhouse Racing and I am very happy with the result.
