I own a Plymouth Prowler and have done many Hot Rod modifications to it. I took the 3.5 L stock engine and bored&stroked it to a 5.0 L with custom cams, larger valves, solid roller lifters and a double high rise throttle body through the hood, toped off with a Hilborn intake scoop. I have never had more fun with a car in my life. The car is beautiful the way it is but it screams to be personalized. When they designed the Prowler they made it very easy to do after market modifications. In my opinion, there are no bad points. When you understand that this car was not designed to be a mimi van. It was designed just to look cool.

This is a wonderful car, and I say that proudly because this car was meant to look like nothing else the human eye has ever seen, and the people designing the vehicle knew this. Extended fenders, bullet-shaped nose hiding a peppy 256hp engine, roadsters are always inviting! The only catch is, people disliked the low-power-producing engine and lack of a manual gearbox. The engine is peppy and feels right, but more is always better, but for myself, I feel this engine is perfectly fitted for a car ...

The Plymouth Prowler is an exotic car in Europe. We drove the Prowler on a long distance top speed of 110 to 140 miles fast over a distance from 180 miles across Germany with no problems.
    (Don't try this with a late model camaro / f.b..... )
It's a nice painless factory Hot Rod for those who don't want to built a 1934 Ford Coupe. (.. or have already one..)

You want America's best head-turning machine-this is it, period! Forget your vettes, trans ams and red-neck mustangs, there is no other American made car that can match the visual appeal of the Plymouth Prowler. Too bad the engine doesn't match the stunning good looks. No mechanical problems noted in my 2+ years of ownership, and handling is superb. Can't get over that lack of power, though.

CAR PRICE RANGE IS TOO HIGH FOR A CAR OF THIS QUALITY?...AS A BUYER YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF BUYING A RAM AIR TRANSAM THAT HANDLES BETTER... COST LESS AND HAS MORE SPEED FOR YOUR BUCK$$$$ DESIGN IS ALSO A FACTOR IN THIS ...HOW GOOD DO YOU THINK THE PROWLER COULD HANDLE AN IMPACT. THESE ARE THE FACTORS IN BUYING THIS CAR, SO BE SMART, NOT A DOPE. THINK WHEN BUYING A CAR THAT LOOKS GOOD BUT MAY NOT BE GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH!!! DESIGN IS NOT EVERYTHING...
