Good Points: Lens has extremely high build quality with an all metal lens barrel and metal lens mount. Sharpness is very high, comparable to the Nikkor 300mm F/4, because of the use of super-low dispersion glass. Autofocus is extremely fast and accurate because of the use of internal rear focusing mechanism. I would definitely recommend this lens to even the most demanding professional if you can find one. I have used one for the past 4 years with no problems and excellent results.
Bad Points: Autofocusing not as fast as Nikon AF-S or Canon USM lenses. Autofocusing is great on Nikon N80, F100, and F5, though.
General comments: Overall I love this lens and would recommend it to anyone. I have gotten excellent images with it that are definitely publishable! Overall rating from 1-10 is a 9.99!!!
Also, the size of this lens makes it great for backpacking!
