    They started out behind Yahoo and look at where Google is standing now. It has transformed the search engine industry into a lucrative business and people allover the world are following its examples.

    What I like it (even before) was the complete list of indexes it can provide better than yahoo or MSN (Microsoft).

    I guess Google will remain on top of the search engine game for quite some time.

    I love google, it is by far the best search engine, it's really quick to find anything and always comes up with very good search results - no wonder it's the most popular search engine by a mile! Well recommend Google for a search engine, most effeciant and prefer it other yahoo.com.

    Great useful search engine. Very fast to load and to retrieve results. I probably use it about 20 times a day. Great work Google.

    The best, best looking and easiest search engine out there. If you have not heard of or used GOOGLE.com, you must be living under a rock.
    This engine gives the user endless search options and fast, easy to read results in order of most relevant.
    ALl search engines are inherently the same, but GOOGLE.com is the one that I always use.
    I find that other search engines are cluttered with ads and a bit more"case sensitive" when searching for items.

    Keep up the good work, GOOGLE.com team! ...

    This is my main search engine that I use. I'm really hoping that they keep up the good quality, and reduce down those commercial sites on the search results, and focus more on informational sites.

    Google seems to reward large players like themselves.

    For all the hype over their much vaunted algorithm, the results aren't all that relevant, where Wikipedia seems to be top ranked for everything. What do you need Google for, just go straight to Wikipedia.

    They've exploited their initial advantage in the search engine business to the hilt, only because MSN and Yahoo were so short sighted to begin with.

    I find the "safe search" extremely annoying, but apart from that I use it for everything. I also find the "define" section very useful.

    Google is great! It offers relevant search results, and it is good for image searching, but not as good as Yahoo in terms of the size of the images.

    There really isn't anything to talk about, seeing as it's already been said in previous reviews.

    It includes everything you need to find information. I use it daily to find products and information that I need. It has Vidoes, Images, News and a Translating Languages feature, and many other features!

    The Google Search Engine, is used all over the world by many people. I find it really easy to search and find stuff. Most of the time you get too much information on the search, and have to be more specific!! :)

    Google is loved by millions of internet users worldwide, and I am amongst them.

    "Google" is a befitting name for the search engine. A "Google" is a number with 10 zeros in it one after the other. For example, 10000000000 (or 10,000,000,000). Therefore, this name stresses that the site gives LOTS of information on what you want. This is half correct and half inaccurate.     Google is one of the best and in my opinion the best web search engine that a user can expect internet world.
    Google has many departments. Google homepage, Google Active directory, Google news, Google image search and many other parts.
    When you search at Google homepage, you will receive numerous results and many the pages you will find, belong to personalities and Obscure companies.
    But if you are searching for such word as "news'' the first 20 results belongs to BBC new, CNN, ABCnews, Rfrel ...

    As a student at school, I have found www.google.co.uk to be a very useful resourse for research for coursework and exam revison. I would definitely recommend it.

    Google is a nice search engine. It has been very popular at the moment. Google has to offer a search for pictures, groups, news, froogle, and more. But I have seen ads for companies on the search. Which I find somewhat annoying. On the images search you find unrelated pictures. But overall I normally use Google as my search engine.

    As someone has already said: "[Google] is the only search engine you'll ever need".

    Google is also now being used by other search facilities, i.e. BBCi. It is featured on the front pages of many electronic media editions, and tiny business websites like mine - I have a Google button link.

    My ultimate accolade to Google is that since submitting my site to them (for free), I have taken probably thousands of pounds worth of business by Customers just using internet search.

    I strongly advise in the Preferences page ticking the box for "Open search results in a new browser window".

    New Froogle site is testing (Oct 03) and all prices currently only in $ but has great potential.

    To compare search engines try doing a search using "Search Telegraph".

    Google Web site is simply set out with a choice of searching just UK sites or the whole of the web. Google is an excellent search engine and one I use regular. The option of using the search for images has a great benefit if you want to look up a holiday destination or even wonder what something looks like.

    What a brill engine, I use this one so much it is frightening... and they keep improving their service. I mean, type in 'Weapons of mass destruction' and then hit the button 'I feel lucky'..... look at the result... STUNNING!!!
