    Lhasa, The Living Road - This is a magnificently downbeat record sung in three different languages by a unique voice in world music. Lhasa is primarily a singer-songwriter who weaves Mexican folk, French music and Spanish balladry together to create a sound that is resolutely her own. The lyrics are deeply personal and sung in a first person voice as if directly to the listener. Turn the lights down, open a bottle of wine and settle in for the evening with this one.
