Good graphic, the screen in memory card, good shadow for the characters and very good games. The Dreamcast is the only one console who have a screen in the memory card. The internet is not really good.

    It's my favorite console.

For it's time, this console was just supreme, it even had a sort of dashboard where you could manage settings and music and your VMU (memory card), I even think it had a small hardrive. The memory cards were games as well, not even super consoles like the 360 has that greatness, truly amazing.

The console that lead the industry into the online console gaming we have today, not to mention the original home of motion sensitive controllers, video game camera and much more.

I cannot recommend the Dreamcast enough. Obviously it now lacks the graphics capabilities of the newer systems, but if you can look past this you will find a gaming experience that is unsurpassed... amazing!

This is the most underrated system of all time. In the past 6 months I have bought a Dreamcast and collected 32 games for it. I still play it a good amount considering I work full time and have an Xbox 360. I definitely recommend this system.

To sum up a decent console with some classic titles!
Just didn't take off properly. I've just bought another one now, Christmas eve 2007 because I want to complete shenmue.

The Dreamcast was a great gaming system. It had excellent games, awesome hardware, internet, and a sweet controller on top of that. This was Sega's best work. The tiny underestimated system did not deserve to die. I personally did not have overheating problems with my Dreamcast, but my friend did. Despite popular belief, the PlayStation 2 is actually inferior to the Dreamcast. The Dreamcast can support up to 32 layers, while the PlayStation 2 could only support up to 24. Despite this, the death ...

After well and truly having its reputation dragged backwards through the mud with nearly a decade of poor console add-ons (Mega CD, 32X) and underperforming systems (Saturn, Game Gear), 1999 was a year for reflection for Sega. The result of this time of convalescence? A total company rebrand and the birth of a legend: The Dreamcast.

The death knell was sounded for the Sega Saturn in early 1998 as the company finally succumbed to the reality that was the success of the PlayStation and the fled ...

Sega Dreamcast - Sega's last console they ever made. Some top, original and exclusive games including Power Stone 1+2, Seaman (with microphone!), Chu Chu Rocket, Ferrari F355 and Samba de Amigo (with Maracas!!!) However, most of the best games are better known for appearing on the XBOX, Gamecube and PS2 as either conversions or sequels. Crazi Taxi, Shenmue 1/2, Metropolis Street Racer (XBOX updates were called Project Gotham Racing), Jet Set Radio, Soul Calibur and Phantasy Star Online all debut ...

Dreamcast is the BEST console. U DONT HAVE TO READ THIS! GO BUY ONE NOW! I own a PS2, PS1, Genesis, N64, GBC, NGPC, and a lot of consoles. But none of them can compare with the dreamcast. I even prefer playing with my dreamcast than the newer consoles. First of all it has godly graphics, came out a little just before the PS2. The games are awesome. Most of the games are so great, that they have moved up to the Gamecube, such as Sonic Adventure 2, shenmue, evolution, DDR, house of the dead and je ...

The Sega DreamCast is a great system for the money, especially in today's market. While it may not sport a lot of the hardware beef that the PS2 or XBOX do, it still packs quite a punch of power for it's cost. The games are great, and it has quite a large library, in fact a few games that started on the DreamCast have made their way to the newer nexgen systems (E.G Resident Evil : Code Veronica has been ported to the PS2).
The system sports a Hitachi SH-4 200mhz CPU and 16 megs of system ram, w ...

Say goodbye to Sega as a console maker as Nintendo loses it's age old rival.
Good news though is that Sega as a designer still lives on. F Zero GX is an excellent game thanks to Sega contributing it's expertise and the Sonic series still lives on.
The brilliant graphics sparked off a gaming revolution that sadly killed the console in the end.
It had it's day in the spotlight and it's day was good but now it's games can be bought for a pitiful £4....sad.

This is a really good console ive had one for about two years now and it is really fun. I still play it. It has so many awsome games like crazy taxi, soul calibur, sonic adventure 1 and 2, marvel vs capcom 1 and 2, and shemmue. The games are very cheap every thing for it is a great price.

It really is sad that Sega got everything right with regards the design of the Dreamcast console but got practically every wrong with regards to marketing.

This console is massively powerful, as can be seen in games like shenmue, msr, Quake 3, Jet Set Radio, Unreal and Half Life (if they didn't, can it be because it made the ps2 version look awful which was being released shortly after). The Dreamcast is a very clean design but at its heart it has a decent Hitachi risc cpu and a very decent p ...

Bought this console 4 weeks ago after owning a Nintendo 64. The games are cheaper because they are CD ROM rather than cartridge. However, this means they load slower and make a noise as they are read.
Console is worth owning just to play MSR (Metropolitan Street Racer).
UK Price just dropped to £99 (just after I payed £150).
Sega are planning to wind down manufacture of this console now.
