Good Points: THE SHERATON - TAHITI
Nothing - Hated everything about the hotel

Bad Points: * Dont bother if your vegetarian this hotel offers no proper service

General comments: ( January 2003)We arrived all excited from the Cook Islands where we had got married, and really looked forward to exploring the Island.
The Sheraton Hotel (in Tahiti) was an absolute dissapointment! Being vegetarian i did feel that we would have issues but not from this type of hotel as for the staff here at this hotel they were so unhelpful and rude.
We checked into the Hotel, took our bags to our rooms and came downstairs and sat down at the restaurant. We could see a waiter/waitress working and we stood there waiting and waiting and waiting until we helped ourselves to our own seats.. and then we waited .. until we had to approach the waiter and order our food.
We ordered a sandwhich as we cant see much for vegetarians, when the sandwhich arrives its not vegetarian and has bits of meat in it.
We approach the waiter again.. she arrives does NOT apologise and takes the plate .. and we sit waiting and waiting..
I hate to say that although I stayed at this hotel for only 5 days they seemed like years.
Several incidents similar to the ones above happened over the course of our stay here and to be honest i couldnt wait to leave!
Although I am not one to complain or even think about writing my views on the internet I saw this site and couldnt help myself.. I just dont want anyone else to have the same experiences..
So the day arrives when we finally check out (hooray) we check out early and as our flight was not until late in the evening ask if we can have a room (a courtesy room) for an hour or so before we have a long fly back to the UK.
The staff are happy to offer a room for 2 hrs ( i begin to change my mind, they may not be bad after all..) later in the afternoon we return to the hotel to check into our Courtesty Room and to my suprise we are given a room which has bags and suitcases of other people staying at the hotel! I have to topple over suitcases before I even get into the shower! Surely this cant be a service can it?? In the bedroom there are boxes of printers and printers and more luggage. It just cant get any worse. I go and have a shower and then get a knock on the door..I open the door dripping..its the staff again with a lady who claims her bag is in the room. So i let a stranger into the room, while I stand with my bathrobe..She wonders around looking for her bags like a madwoman, I was not happy. Again no apolgies from the hotel.. Although my partner has a Sheraton Account and has always been pleased with the standards of these hotels.WE will NEVER go back to this Hotel again.

    Radisson m/s Paul Gauguin
    Jan 11-18, 2003 / Tahiti

If you were to close your eyes, and dream of a tropical paradise, you'd wake up in French Polynesia. From the azure seas, to the cloud encrusted volcanic mountains, the Society Islands make the path for the Radisson Seven Seas cruise ship, the Paul Gauguin. For seven days, you are a part of a dream which compels you to stand back, and just admire what the best that nature has to offer.

If one were to imagine a more idyllic magical place, ...
