We have stayed at the Nereus on many occassions since 2003 ,we can honestly say that previous reviews are entirely detrimental as they are outdated as the hotel is improved yearly. One is treated as an individual guest where all requests are dealt promptly by family and staff. Linen is changed with rooms serviced daily .We were hoteliers there can always be slip ups at every grade of establishment. We have alway been very happy and will return. (read more)

I stayed at the Nereus hotel with another family member for 3 weeks from August 2006 into September 2006. The rooms: although I had no intentions of spending my holiday in my room- the room was tiny (two of us sharing), the bathroom was a disgrace, all the tiles from ceiling to floor were cracked, the shower curtain was filthy and the actual layout of the bathroom was a disaster it was too compact and all crammed in, leaving no room to manoeuvre. The pressure in both the sink taps and the... (read more)

HOTEL: We had an absolutely marvelous stay at the Nereus Hotel. The staff really make this place. The vast majority of them are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much hassle. We were half board but enjoy our holidays most when we can try out new restaurants at night. Luckily they allowed us to regularly swap our evening meal for lunch. This was an extra bonus because the lunch menu was a la carte as opposed to the dinner menu which was buffet. But, some nights were very good! The... (read more)

The Nereus Hotel in Paphos has lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby. There is a lovely walk to the castle and harbour.
The hotel is family run, and very friendly. The staff seem to be there year after year and can't help people enough with anything.
There are three pools, but the larger pool can get really noisy when local children jump in after school, which is a pain.
We have been for the last four years, and look forward to next year's visit.

Nereus Hotel:
The rooms were large warm and clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The pools were not used when I was there as it was the winter season, but were kept very clean and I am still kicking myself for not going in for a swim. Most of the customers were return visitors which speaks for it's self. I will be back.

Cheap and cheerful Thomsons said.... I had One of the most terrible holiday experiences at Nereus Hotel. We had to change our room since the first room smelled of something awful and a view of what appeared to be waste ground. The second room was not much better and was the size of a postage stamp. Some of the staff were OK but did admit that the place needed an overhaul. The pool seemed dirty hence uninviting. The majority of our party were ill as well as some of the guests.... The... Paphos, Nereus Hotel - New apartments very clean and spacious, with fitted kitchen and room for entertainment. The new pool area was very clean and very well-kept. The menu was not in anyway repetitive and we found the quality and choice amazing. Home from home would be a very good way to describe this experience. (read more)

Our first room was damp and cold (March 2003). Our second room was smaller and very noisy at night as it was above the bar and entertainment area. It was however warm, dry, clean and comfortable. The hotel was obviously a good three star hotel about ten years ago, it is now a somewhat old hotel, fraying at the edges and in need of a bit more than a coat of paint. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was plentiful, well cooked, well presented, appetising and varied. The... (read more)

The Nereus Hotel is situated in part of Paphos town, central to everything. Sea only minutes away, places to eat out are good value and many to choose from.
The staff at the hotel are always very polite and friendly.
The rooms are very comfortable and every evening a sweet is placed on the pillows, which is a nice touch.
Eating in is good with a choice of different meals
Two swimming pools and evening entertainment laid on most evenings.
plenty to see and do of a day - mosaics, valley of the...

Agree wholeheartedly - our first time Jan 2004 although a number of customers were there on repeat visits and for long periods. Everyone well looked after, nothing too much trouble for staff. Customer care excellent. Shall be re-visiting early next year
