Despite other reviews, I really enjoy Nick Drake's Bryter Layter Album.
It was after hearing only one of his songs 'Northern Sky' on a movie soundtrack that encouraged me to buy this one, and I wasn't let down.
This is a brilliant album, with some really great lyrics. My favourite track however is still the one that drew me to the album in the first place 'Northern Sky'! I recommend giving it a listen!

Nick Drake, Bryter Layter - Why not another 10/10? Well, mainly because it's not as good as Five Leaves Left, though some may prefer the more upbeat mode and lush arrangements. And in fairness, Nick was in good voice and wrote some memorable songs for this collection, notably Poor Boy.
In hindsight, where FLL and Pink Moon might be seen as evidence of his depressive moods, Bryter Later is scarcely optimistic but as cheerful as the man ever became. To me, the subtle and downbeat mood suit ...
