Good Points: Strong signal reception. Long battery life.

Bad Points: Looks dated. Low ear volume. Doesn't ring when headset is plugged in.

General comments: I have the Motorola V120X on Verizon. Although the V120e looks a little old by today's gizmo standards, it's a good reliable mobile phone. It comes with a large (i think 1100 mah) battery which once lasted almost a week on standby, but after 8 months, I've noticed that i need to recharge at least every 3 days. Of course, lots of talking means charging more often.

The screen is single color LCD and similar if not identical to most other motorola user interface software like the V60. It's not as user-friendly as the nokias, but easy enough to learn.

If you need a no-nonsense phone, look into the V120 series. It doesn't have polyphonic ring tones, or a color screen, but it's reliable and the signal is always great. If you need, you still get the standard features like 2 way text phonebook, messaging, datebook, alarm, voice dialing, voice notes...and some other stuff I usually don't use.

A fault I have found with the phone is that it does not ring when you have a headset plugged in.

This V120X is my second Motorola phone of this series. The first generation phone, the V120 had a flimsy antenna and it broke off on me. This phone has a small fixed antenna, and it's much better.

I chose this phone because of the relatively inexpensive price and because it has legendary long battery life. It can often go three full days without recharging even when using it regularly.

One thing I noticed is that it has excellent reception. Even underground or in steel frame buildings, I ...
