Good Points: 1) Good value for the money
    2) Robust, better sights than most newer domestic airguns

Bad Points: 1) Like most Chinese springers, will need a tune/trigger job
    2) A bit heavy for the power-level
    3) Breech seems oversized, smaller pells will fall back out after loading. Larger pells 'stick' better in the breech and work best.

General comments: Bought mine in .22 from "Romey's Blades" before they closed them out. Trigger and internals were hideous, but all benefitted greatly from and internal polish and relube. Barrel needed a recrown as well.

I stripped the stock and recoated it with truck-bed liner black paint. Installed a trigger over-travel stop, trigger shoe etc. The side cocking lever 'rattled' when shooting, so I put a rubber bumper underneath to make it sit solid. Added a sling.

Internally polished and relubed, it does abt 435 fps with middleweight .22 pells. Mine seems ammo sensitive, but with the right ammo will group quite well. Good for making those cans jump when you hit them

Trigger now breaks at abt 4 lbs.

Well-satisfied with my purchase. Basically a "kit-gun", plan on some rework to get the most out of it.

Purchased from South Summit. Gun is robust, stout, and handles like a real rifle, very heavy barrel. South Summit supplied a replacement rear site. Gun shoots very well. I am not an airgun competitor, rather I am a centerfire shooter that bought this to shoot at my farm at small rodents and rocks/cans. Very accurate, much less dangerous to my kids than a loaded .22.
I have fired about 100 - 125 rounds through it and it seems to get better as it breaks in and the phosphate wears off of the ...

i love it. everyone waits in line to shoot it leaving beemans and crossman laying on the table. all of these chinese guns are heavy but they're built like A K's or a tank or something. Ypu can trip dropping it in the swamp, pore the water out of the barrel point up and kill a squirrel in the top of a tall georgia pine. thats no bull, and i think it says it all.

After numerous "trigger jobs" my old B3 became totally unsafe. I picked Fast Deer KL-3B as a safe replacement for the old cheapo for backyard plinking. Cost 29.95 + 10 s/h. Side-level, anti-bear safety mechanism and advertised 800fts.
The gun arrived in an original soft carton package excessively covered by machine oil. The rear sight was broken, but I replaced it from my old B3. After cleaning up, metal parts of the gun appeared to be scratched all over. The stock had a decent finish without v ...

I have to admit that I was extremely skeptical about a $35 Chinese air rifle. A friend at work had bought a case of 10 and was selling them off so I visited him to see what this thing was. I expected a flimsy piece of ugly junk that I wouldn't buy for free. I was stunned stupid when I saw that this thing looked so good and was built so solidly. The stock's finish is really fantastic --- nicely grained wood with a good stain and coating.
We went out back and threw a small Gatorade bottle ab ...

I bought this rifle for about $30 in .22 and after reading some forums I realized I should probably have gone for .177 since people claim it's more accurate. Going into this, I knew I was going to take it apart and tune it up following a guide on http://www.charliedatuna.com/

Before beginning the tune, I took it out back and shot it a couple times. WOW, the trigger was ridiculous! It must have been a 35lb pull, no joke. I had to try with the safety on thinking that maybe they had installe ...

No matter what the good points of this Norinco KL-3B .177 Caliber rifle are, they are all out-weighed by the one bad point: the trigger pull. You may think that you have the safety on, but you probably don't - it's that bad. Even after I did a trigger job, the pull weight is still unacceptable. It's all because of design, not workmanship, that this trigger is so bad. The trigger is just one big piece of metal that hooks the piston sear. There is no sort of complex trigger mechanism. That's ...

I bought both the Norinco KL-3B .177 and a .22 rifles after seeing prices of $22.95 and $27.95 respectively. The guns came soaked in oil but once wiped clean, worked fairly well. There was some roughness in the cocking of the .177 rifle and both had very heavy triggers. I decided to dismantle both to de-burr, clean and re-lube parts.

The trigger mechanism is very basic but polishing and re-lubing the sear points did help. I was surprised, however, to find that the compression chambers on bot ...

Norinco KL-3B .177 Caliber - I own Chinese low end air rifles (B2-1,B2-2A,B3-2,TF41,) Also A QB78 which is in a class by itself. I spent $24.95 for This Rifle (the same as I did For the B2-1 and B2-2A), And this is twice the gun. I spent twice as much for My TF41 which in essence is almost the same, but afterjust 50 or so shots I'm getting rid of the B's and The TF41 and getting a couple more of these Fast Deers. Best Bang For the Buck Out Of All My air rifles period US or foriegn. (With The exe ...

I just received my new Fast Deer KL-3B 4.5. Looks pretty good out of the box. I was able to bounce a soda can across the yard 30-40 ft. Hell of a trigger pull, I thought I had the safety on. I can't even begin to guess what the pull weight is. Inside I tried to shoot some groups and found there is not enough elevation in the sight. Full up and it was still 1 in. low at 20ft. (front door to back door). After a closer inspection it looks like the barrel droops?. I can't see where it's bent but it ...

I got my Norinco KL-3B .177 Caliber from SouthSummit.com several months ago. I had heard great things about the KL-3B Fast Deer and I wasn't disappointed. It chrony's at about 750 fps, which is a bit less than the advertized 850 fps, but still more than enough for my needs. This is not a perfect gun, but is probably the best value you will ever find in airgunning.

What can I say about the Norinco KL-3B .177 Caliber. 850 feet per second. Micrometer sight adjustments. Straight shooter out of the box. If the gun shoots straight, I can compensate for the rest. Caps through 1/2" plywood at 35 feet. A hard hitter. 1/8" CTC at 10 meters. For 25 bucks I can hit the target or game out of the box. This is a winner. You can't lose!

I purchased this gun after reading a couple reviews and decided it was the best one for the money. The stock isn't the best but it gives it that genuine redwood look to it. When you pick it up it feels like a real gun and it looks like a real air gun. I have a daisy 3x-7x scope mounted on it and with that I can hit a barrel over 100 yards away with out too muck difficulty. You can keep the accuracy and speed up by putting gun oil down the barrel before you take it hunting or whatever and also ab ...

After seeing the Norinco/SMK Kl-3b rifle on southsummit.com for 25$ I thought it was a good deal, so I looked around the internet to find some information on it. I found that many models had a barrel drop on them causing the gun to shoot low, this is correctable though with a hammer and a 2x4. So I decided to order one anyway
First off dont ever belive these advertised specs. the gun shoots way below 850 FPS most shoot from the 500's to low 700's. The gun has enough power to kill sparrows, and ...

The KL-3B .177 Caliber is a very basic airgun from NORINCO which resembles a SKS from a top view and has the heft of a firearm. Easy tear down, etc. Makes one think of a kit gun. As with all cocking procedures do not depend on the ratchet (the catch is too thin/small), bear-trap device or trigger safety alone to protect your fingers when loading a pellet -check these items regularly (not really a gun for the young ones). Airgun tuner Charlie DaTuna on Chinese Airgun Forum suggests a pin to lock ...

We've got two, mine and one for my wife. Both shoot upper 500's with RWS Geco pellets (which are light). Both have several thousand rounds through them.

My wife's is a nice shooter, with a nice trigger pull (yes, it does) and good accuracy. Mine doesn't group quite as well and the trigger is a fair bit stiffer.

I recently tore mine down. The internal construction is fairly robust, even if it has a crude direct sear trigger. The machining of the pump chamber, however, is abysmal.... several ...

I bought one of the KL-B3 rifles, it came soaked in oil so I cleaned it. The barrel doesn't sit in the barrel channel this is because the stock mounting hole was drilled about .125" off center. The workings of the rifle are not very well finished. The rifle will need much fitting before it is servicable. For the money but an Industry Brand or a Hercules.

I bought this after reviewing hundreds of reviews of air rifles. I needed one that can take care of some squirrels getting into my attic and taunted me when I tried to scare them off. I've tried moth balls, decoy owls, and even traps, but to no avail....so the ultimate conclusion that they have to go meet their maker. The rifle came packed with enough oil to cook with and I had to figure out how to mount the aiming sight. After adjusting the sight and shooting to verify optimal settings, I was a ...

This is most possabliy the best investment in airguns I have ever made. All I did was rinse of the acsess oil, thre a scope on it, and made it a 10M compition plinker! It came soaked in oil. Mine crhonos at 733 fps is the avaerage. I got the good one. Beautiful wood stock. All I can say is I love it!

I bought my KL-3B on a "whim"...low price made it a tempatation and it seemed like a good project gun. The gun is both of the above but also surprised me with its performance. It came saturated in a thick oil but, unlike many other guns, there was no rusting to contend with. The cleanup was fairly easy and after its bath and relubing was put to the test. It chronied out at under 800FPS but exhibited excellent groupings at 40 yards with a 4x32 scope fitted...it consistently put 5 shot groups into ...
