Good Points: Guitars AND tunes

General comments: Oasis, Definitely Maybe - This is the album that dragged British music out of its post-grunge doldrums. It is an album with loud guitars and, crucially, melodies. It is the perfect album for all of us dreaming of a better life, best summed up by the opening track. In my mind, the best debut since the Stone Roses' first album.
