Despite what anyone says about the Stereophonics this is a great album with some wonderful observations in the song writing. Musically, there is nothing much in the way of innovation, with the Rod Stewart and The Faces thing already well in place, but there is nothing wrong with that, as they (The Faces) have been the template for plenty of great bands. Word Gets Around is full of little gems, nothing more so than Local Boy In A Photograph. It's almost like watching a poignant gritty realist... (read more)
