Good Points: Well built of quality design and components.Heavy (a good thing for pistols)Attachments allow the configuration of four different guns. Fun!Modifiable and a competent owners manual complete with rebuild instructions.

Bad Points: Availability of pellet cartridges.Finding a good source of info to modify the gun.First impression of toy-like attachments.

General comments: 651K, Although I'd been looking at it for a while and it was on my list pending more investigation. I finally bought this gun on a whim because it was on a half price sale at a website here in the US.When it arrived I was immediately impressed with the gun but not so with its attachments. The gun is robust and in contrast the attachments rather toy-like.However when assembled in any of the four configurations I began to adore it's schizophrenic appearance. Morph ability! Then I shot it! Dam if it didn't feel powerful. Much more-so than the advertised 230 fps I've seen on retailers websites here in the US! A trip to Baikal's Russian website shows their spec as 120 m/s which translates to over 390 fps. I had to throw some lightweight pellets into it and pass them over the chrony. My results backed up what I felt. First shot was 420 FPS and the five after that were all in excess of 400 fps proving it was not a fluke.I've since found the near 6" barrel to allow me tight ten yard groups and furthermore, plinking is a breeze and a ball.As someone else posted here Modding it to over 500fps doesn't seem out of the question. It's finding instruction online that seems hard. As for attempting to disassemble the gun. The typical Russian Owners manual that it comes with has the usual instructions to disassemble and reassemble along with parts diagrams and their locations..If you are a tinkerer like myself you will love this gun. If not there is still a lot of reason to like it a lot.

This is my first review and it is of my first Russian gun. The Baikal MP651K. My first surprise came when I took receipt of the package from UK importer, Brocock ltd. It seemed a good 30 % smaller than I had expected. Then I discovered it to be about 50 % lighter than I had expected. After eventually unravelling miles of packaging, I discovered a slim brown carton sealed inside a heavy duty plastic bag. The carton was a far-cry from the usual fare of graphics and logo emblazoned packa ...

This was the most powerful airgun/pistol.the really cool part about it is the extensions e.g. barrel and butt. the best part of it the firing rate and the about of firing power you can lay down.

My review of the Baikal MP 651K is not alone. So, I shall say what no one else will say here. If you needs powerfull, accurate (rather accurate) and cheap C02 Pistol - this is your choise. But you must apply your hands to this thing. I've got 538 fps with BB from my MP651. You must increase gas channel up to 3.8 - 4.0 mm. You must increase gas evaporation chamber as much as you can - 1 - 2 cub. sm. No springs power changing needed. Also you MUST tune magazine rotaring. Else you will loose p ...

The Baikal MP 651K is a Russian made Co2 air pistol. The body is constructed of complete aluminium with comfortable, plastic grips. It feels very sturdy and like it is made from steel rather than aluminium. It also comes with a stock and an extended front end, both made from plastic, which can be easily clipped onto the pistol to turn it into a rifle. It's two guns for the price of one! It has an 8 shot rotary magazine for pellets and an internal 23 shot BB magazine which needs the supplied B ...
