Good Points: It's light weight, fairly easy to cock, and handles ok.

Bad Points: The rear sight is a floppy hunk of plastic which leads to very poor accuracy. It's been almost impossible to sight-in, because the group keeps moving around every few shots.

General comments: I bought my Crosman 795 for plinking and shooting back yard grackles and squirrels. Even for the low price, it was disappointing because the accuracy has been poor. The rifle has ended up sitting in the closet for the past few years.

The Crosman 795 is an allright gun for youth airgun shooters. i had it for about 2 years and its still pretty accurate with iron sites. the rear site isnt all that great...its plastic, not hard to site in though. i hate it how u cant put a scope on it. i tried to put a scope on it but the vibrations when shooting knocks the crosshairs off. i have had lots of luck gettin rid of the pesky bushy tails around the house though. i says 600fps but i dont think the gun goes that fast .it hits hard and h ...

I bought my 795 at canadian tire for $110, for shooting pigeons and other pests (a paintball gun doesn't seem to have the power needed even with frozen ball) and i've found to be somewhat accurate when the sight is ajusted properly. i recomend a red dot sight ($30-$50) it will make it a hell of a lot more accurate.

I've had my Crosman Springmaster 795 for about three years, and I haven't had any problems with it. I've dropped it a couple of times, but the worst that happened was the rear sight broke. I went to Canadian Tire and got a Red-dot Sight, and now it is incredibly fun to use. The screws need to be tightened once in a while though, and you may want to use Pellgun Oil a few times a year; but other than that, this gun is great!

My Crosman 795 has become only a "project gun" . Though it voids the warranty I intend to disassemble it and tweak it. As I said its design features may be good, but they are defeated by the poor choice of shoddy materials. All to lower the cost, I suspect.

Crosman you really need to do better on your locking system.
Have you seen the other manufacturers air rifles lately?

i like it, the Crosman 795 is nice in the winter when pneumatic or C02 guns aren't as well operating.

In all honesty, there aren't a whole lot of "youth" break-barrel guns out there, and in light of the current offerings, this rifle doesn't fare that badly.

The action is very, very easy to cock and it has reasonable power (500's with realistic pellets). The rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation, although it is on the flimsy side. The trigger is heavy and creepy, but it's not quite as bad as the Industry brand "B1" model I got a few years ago.

The barrel is shrouded in plastic ...

The Crosman 795 is very good value for the money (only $80). Probably the most solid gun for the money. But I would recommend a pump with a pressure gauge instead, to be more consistent; the spring creates too much kickback and affects accuracy.

I had to get the 500 fps one because of canadian laws, anyways i've shot at lots of squirrels and the pellet goes into them but the squirrel gets away falling and limping but if i get a head shot it kills it in one shot... anyone have a good reccomendation on a gun that shoots 500fps or less and is good for small game?

I love this Crosman 795 gun though the iron sights are kind of bad this thing is accurate. A great thing for power is the second you pull the trigger (target at 50 feet) the pellet has gone through a caned peaches, can! the gun is easy to hold as its really light.
The gun is also made out of metal and a very hard synthetic material.
I'm going to equip a scope shorty and do some more pest control. This is a powerful gun and I think it's great for all ages.

The old Crosman 795, I had this gun some years ago and I loved it. This break barrel, spring actioned, pellet gun is a must for small game hunters. It shoots up to 600 fps, pellets only, and the rifled steel barrel makes this gun great. The stock is synthetic plastic making it rock hard. This gun only weighs around 4lbs. making it very light to carry around. If you put a scope on this then I would be very afraid to be a bird but the iron sight is just as good for the accuracy on this gun is amaz ...

I got my Crosman 795 at Canadian Tire for $99.86 Canadian in November 2001. So far I shot it over 3000 times with no problem at all. With this rifle if I hold it right offhand standing; I can shot within 1/2 inch circle at 10 meters/33' all the time.

Personly I hate this Crosman 795 Air Rifle because it is plastic and not accurate at all, the only reason I like it is because it has a little power. The big problem is the vibrations would wreck a scope/croshairs, with a scope you cannot sight it in properly because is has no accuracy. If you are intressted in buying a crossman break berral you should realy look into the Crosman/Medoza RM422 or any gun from the RM series. I have had an RM 422 for two days and right out of the box I can hit a pe ...

This Crosman 795 Air Rifle is a cheap imitation of all break barrel rifles that actually have good quality i.e Gamo and Winchester air rifles. Being a fan of break barrel air rifles myself, I felt that this gun was the worst I had ever shot. The only gun I find worth buying from Crosman is the Quest1000. This gun shoots off target almost every four shots or so. I purchased about four-hundred Gamo targets when I purchased my Shadow1000, and from about 10 yards with the Crosman795, I shot abou ...
