Good Points: Good turning radius
Bad Points: Molds are most often crooked, especially on the 180's. Too high off the ground, greatly reducing the advantages of low center of gravity. Kingpin bolts are often loose or loosen greatly with age.
General comments: Randal could do so much better. I am a private board maker and Longboard rider and enthusiast. I've tried most of the standard trucks that come with Longboards found in most stores and websites, such as Gullwing, Tracker, Wide Indies, Invaders, etc. as well as more specialized trucks. Yes the Randal II's have a good turning radius, but unfortunately, that's about it. They are so high off the ground that there is no feeling of center of gravity and the fast riders can attest that they are not stable at high speeds. They most often have crooked moldings. I know there are a lot of you out there, even in many of the shops, been who have noticed that molding job is no good. Plus the kingpins are loose and get looser quickly with age. Many board manufacturers seem to like putting Randal RII on their boards, probably to reduce the chance of wheel bite along with a decent turning radius. They certainly caught my eye. However, you can put the proper bushings for your weight on a set of Tracker 149's lets say, or the Gullwing Mission 1's, and experience a similar turning radius as the Randals, but with a lower, more stable feel. You may need to sand out your wheel wells a little deeper on some boards to get low but it's totally worth it.

Randals are by far the best. I have the 160s and 180s on each of my longboards. It has the best turning radius and still has no speed wobble at high speeds.. Def recommend

The only negative thing that can be said about the Randal RII Longboard is that. ..the bushing disintegrates after a good amount of usage but this problem is easily fixed by installing some bones hardcore bushings. Add a washer to the side without one to make the spacing even thus allowing optimal usage of this truck (and making your atuff last longer!). besides all that... THESE TRUCKS ARE AMAZING!!

I ride a Sector 9 and when I purchased the Randal RII Longboard from a "major retailer" I was disappointed. The board just didn't do what I expected it to do. So, I got rid of the O.E. trucks (not trying to diss the co.) and bought a pair of Randall's from a local reputable sktate shop (and for a good price). Went home immediately and skated down the hill I live on....and WOW!!! What a difference. Rail to rail (as us surfers would say) was excellent. I would recommend this set of trucks to anyon ...

These Randal RII Longboards are the best turning coventional trucks I have ever ridden - and I have ridden almost every brand truck there is. The name is synonymous with luge racing and longboarding. These trucks work and they work very well and the best part is that they are affordable and work better than more expensive trucks.
