Good Points: Excellent gun for the money. This is my fourth year shooting my 66 powermaster and i have a new one bought just in case the original wears out, im still waiting for that to happen though. Accuracy is dependent on ammo, find the right pellets and you can land 4 pellets touching each other with a 5 shot group @ 15 yards. Mine loves wadcutters, RWS r-10 match and Beeman Laser Sport are its favs. The rifle is pretty powerful, i cleaned up a nasty squirrel problem With the above mentioned pellets, blows straight through blackbirds @ 20 yards.
Bad Points: Barrel seems loose on both my guns, its never caused a problem but its one thing i dislike about the gun. The trigger is long and drawn out but its decent for the price of the rifle.
General comments: I love this rifle and i cant deny it, 45 bucks at walmart and im on my 4th year of heavy shooting, during summer months im shooting every other day at least.... I bought another one, that has to say something. This is not a magnum powered rifle that you can shoot 50 yards but it also cost nothing compared most of them. An excellent choice for in town pest control, target shooting and plinking. During the day with the breeze blowing and air conditioners running its not so loud, let it rip at three in the morning when everything is still and it rings out.

Well its fine you can kill a birds with 664GTW but the scope doesn't go straight .So GG4GTWis powerful. Its good handling and powerful. The scope is not straight and if you shoot the pellets or the bbs kinda crucked

I am a gunsmith. So in all products that are put together on an assembly line there are bound to be flaws and errors, but I know crosmans quality control is very good, as well as crosmans customer service. If you buy the gun, make sure you check all the screws when you get home. also make sure all joints are lubed properly. (NEVER OVER OIL) and when you are not using your gun. Make sure you store it with 1-2 pumps of air in the gun, this will help keep the seals swollen. as well as your piston. ...

I had an older 66 Powermaster that was great for 15 years then finally wore out. Replaced it with the new model and it is junk! Chintzier construction (weighs almost a pound less than the original), sights twisted, smooth bore instead of rifled. BB's fly out of it in random directions, slightly better with pellets.
Could hit what I aimed at with the old one, everytime. Better off throwing BBs with this one.

The 66\664sb have the same power plant as the 760. How are they more powerful? the 66\664sb have a 3.5 longer barrel that aids power when using light loads ie .5gr, .7 gr.The trick is with the 66\760 only is to load a 5 shot load with a paper wad and then those 2 will have the same power.
I use that load for birds and 10.5 gr rapters or a very heavy pellet for squirel.

Considering that I got this gun for 45 bucks at walmart, I would say that this is the best valued gun on the market. I don't think there's any other pump-action gun that I've seen that has its quality for such a cheap price. It's also pretty accurate. After I placed a 4x15 scope on it and adjusted its height, I could hit a target 40 feet away within an inch every time. This makes it the most perfect gun for picking off rodents and birds in the woods or in your backyard. Its power isn't that bad ...

The Crossman 664x Powermaster is a good BB gun for the price. My dad got me mine a little over a year ago for about 50 clams. When he gave it to me I went out and shot it with open sights and it was cool.
The rear sight is fully adjustable and the front sight is bright green. The scope that came with the rifle was cheap so I got a 4 power weaver scope for it. I have not shot bb's out of it since I got it because pellets are more accurate and have more knock down power. Right now I have i ...

This gun is the model 664GTW that Walmart sells. It has a smooth bore which is the problem. I would only recommend this gun for someone who wanted a light weight gun to help their kids learn how to shoot. It's not good for much else.

This Crosman 664x Powermaster is almost the best gun you can buy in its price range. I got mine used from my friend and it looked brand new except it had a crack on it. I thought it wasn't a big deal until my other friend pumped it wrong and broke the back of it completely, but luckily it has a screw so you can screw it back on. I also noticed that it was lacking power when I pumped it 10 times, so I pumped it 20 times and it was soooooo powerful, it was unbelievable, but now I've been readi ...

I bought my Crosman 664x Powermaster air rifle from Wal-Mart two years for fifty dollars. I then gave it a series of accuracy tests with lead flat target pellets from about 15 feet, with target paper, and I have to say it gets about 1 to 2 inch grouping in that distance. It has enough power when you pump it 5 to 10 times to stop most small pests in your backyard. It has a 200 shot bb reservoir, and 18 bbs are ready to shoot one at a time in the ready reservoir. And, it can also hold five pellets ...

I've had this Crosman 664x Powermaster for probably 10 years now and fired at least 10,000 rounds and the thing is deadly accurate. It has a 4x32 AO scope on it and it can hit anything you please. It's a little weak for hunting things (stock) unless you get critical hits but it's not that hard to achieve with the scope.

Ah, the humble Crosman 664x Powermaster. It can be purchased at most any retail store for $35-$50, but I have taken a particular interest in it, so here is a detailed review:
Completely stock, the gun is good, shoots straight, and has decent power. The trigger has a fair bit of creep, but is predictable and smooth. Most everything is made of plastic, including the internals, but it still seems well put together and tough. The only thing I don't like being plastic is the scope receiver, I wish ...

The Crosman 664x Powermaster is a top notch consumer level air rifle. Its long barrel makes it deadly accurate, and when targeting or game hunting, accuracy is godliness.
I highly recommend this gun to anyone that needs a cheap, quality air rifle.
In 5 days with less than 4 hours per day, I pulled in 7 squirrels, 4 ducks, 2 rabbits, and a few random crows. Not a bad haul for a $45 air gun.

I have owned the Crosman 664x Powermaster rifle for over a year now and it is a very good gun. It can be very accurate if you know what your doing, and if you zero the scope in right. I have used this rifle for pest control and all I can say is that the chipmunks that saw this gun didn't see anything again. This gun is accurate out to 30 yards with the power mod and can get groups of about an inch at the same distance. One of the more rugged features is the stock, and it can withstand a 7.9 grai ...

I have had the Crosman 664x Powermaster rifle for less than a week, and I am very impressed with the power and accuracy. I use it for grouse hunting, and have bagged three thus far. The scope, once sighted in, is very accurate. The synthetic stock makes carrying easy. At only three pounds it is effortless to walk in the bush for hours. Pellet selection, technical support, and accesories are plentiful due to Crosmans world wide network of dealers. Plenty of info on this gun available. There are more ...
