I have been a Customer of Debenhams for years and used to buy most of clothes for them, however over the last few years I can find very little to fit, my size hasn't changed but I find that most items are only now stocked in Regular or short fits, also I find the quality of clothes are much inferior to what they were previously, despite visiting several times this year I have failed to purchase anything as they never have it in anything except reg or short, could not even find a pair of jeans… Read Full Review

i used to be a regualar Luton debenhams shopper, until everything got changed. they rearranged everything in this branch. difficult to find what you looking for. If like me you are a bargain hunter , you will have to see every labels to see what exactly is 70% as they have notices throughout the store saying up to 70% OFF, it used to be a section for it, which was so much easier… Read Full Review

I have been waiting for a refund from Debenhams for the last month. I have emailed them 3 times with no response, and in the end had to call them, at my expense, to sort this out. They didn't seem to have any record of the courier collection, but luckily I had kept a record, and they promised a refund within 5 days. I was not impressed, and will think twice before buying from them again. Other companies, like White Stuff, John Lewis and Marks & Spencers, do not hold on to your money for such a… Read Full Review

I previously brought some furniture a few years ago from Debenhams. The courier rang the evening before turning up to confirm I would be in and even though they turned up at 5am in the morning, due to living just of a extremely busy London route, the goods were in good order and were clearly new. Recently I ordered a floor lamp from Debenhams. Firstly on their online tracking system they put I had ordered 2 lamps. Then suddenly the order was dispatched but now it had gone back down to the… Read Full Review

I have been a regular visitor to the store on the rock in Bury since it opened,at first it was a nice restaurant to visit but over the last few months it has become a depressing experience. The staff are not allowed any chat with customers they look very misserable they have often run out of food items and short of staff. I still visit the store but go elsewhere for my food… Read Full Review

Disgusted! Refund meant to go back in my account for red patent pump shoes. Trusted them and assumed it would. Consequently, I disposed of receipts. Now customer services and Hemel Hempstead store passing the buck between one another.... Their error, but customer gets penalised. Also calls to customer services very expensive, so i'll probably be worse off th ever soon. Disgraceful service debenhams. Goodbye… Read Full Review

Ordered and paid for two pieces of living room furniture from the Oxford Street branch, at the beginning of the year. The lads in the furniture department were very helpful and gave a delivery date of mid February. When the furniture still hadn't arrived by then, called the main Debenhams call centre, who were pretty useless. When I made them transfer me to their warehouse, I was told by a polite young man that there had been a problem with the supplier and someone would call to update me… Read Full Review

On several occasions after purchasing different items online and instore I have been charged for goods then a week or so later told that they are unable to fulfil the order or part of the order. They then hold on to your money for as long as possible before mucking it all up and refunding wrong amounts. Their reason for items being "out of stock" was always that there was a fault on their website. I also spoke to a lady over the phone who re-ordered an item for me which I was told I would have… Read Full Review

I am soooo over Debenhams. This is now the 2nd time in 6 months that I have been treated poorly by Debenhams and I will not be going there ever again. I had a dress put by that I went in to pick up 4 days later and they had gone and put it aside for someone else the day after I chose it! They absolutely refused to let me have it and would not even try and get me another one from another store. Unbelievable! I also bought a fascinator but was not told they were unreturnable. In fact, I had… Read Full Review

Had both online and shop experiences with Debenhams.Firstly online I tried to order a xmas gift of a leather mens bag order came fast but was not the pictured item i thought i was ordering, tried another one that looked like item that came as something totally different.Eventually ended up taking both into a store to get the bag off the shelf.
Then just two days ago i got a jumper, because the store was busy i thought it would be easier to try on at home. On trying on it didn't suit so took it… Read Full Review

Im not impressed.
if there is an addition service, (returning goods to the shop) after purchase from their web site, then there needs to be a more efficient way of dealing with it, and the staff need training .One lady who dealt with me said "it so rarely happened, when it does, no one knows what to do. She later said, it does now appear to be happening more frequently.I will never shop on the internet with them again, too much hastle.I am considering cutting up the Debenhams card, if id have… Read Full Review

I went into My local store as a last resort to buy a Birthday gift for my Dad.
I decided to have a wander around, as I never think of going there, as it's a bit out of the way.
I watched with horror as a (so-called) beautician at Debenhams applied an awful cosmetic make-up to a customer. Then when she finished, she started her horrific artwork on another customer. For fear of causing a scene, I left. I so wanted to ask her where she had done her training. I am a qualified Health, Holistic &… Read Full Review
