“Sending Damaged Products”

Not only did they cancel part of my order after confirming, they sent another part of my order clearly damaged. It was carefully packaged so it was damaged from the store. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received today. Staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. I asked to speak to a Manager and told there wasn't one. When questioned why, They said there is another in a different floor. The ' Manager spoke over me which I did not appreciate. Your review: Debenhams should be ashamed... I ordered this bed with a 6 week delivery schedule. I was contacted 4 weeks prior to delivery with a date.. I booked the day off work and by 6pm no bed!! Sadly my old bed had been disposed of!! I contacted debenhams who told me that the bed couldn't be located!! Several phone calls later over several days!! have used Debenhams for years and spent a lot of money there over the years but very surprised at the customer service or lack of it on a recent visit to the branch in Kidderminster. Was trying to return a top costing £40 that was unworn due to being the wrong size but they refused because the tag had been removed - was told this was only ever done at the 'company discretion' whatever that means - who you know probably!! “Beware of loosing out”

As a disabled customer, I rely on online shopping. Twice parcels were delivered open, the first time items were missing, it was never resolved and I lost the cost of the items. Please beware, it wasn't a good experience and left me out of pocket. I have not been able to trust buying from Debenhams since, I can't afford to loose a lot of money through no fault of my own, and the fact I was not helped to sort it out by them, worries me too… Read Full Review

Went to Estée Lauder counter at Ilford branch.lady wasn't there. Went to the fragrance counter after waited for her good 8-10 mins.the reason why I waited there cos I had to exchange the item. Customer service and staff attitude at this store is appalling. At my second visit to the stores within 2 weeks I once again am unable to find a member of staff to serve me at the tills. The tills are either unmanned for long period of times or there are staff milling about but just ignoring people. “Debenham charging high price for cheap products”

I recently bought a Mantaray maxi dress from Debenham online. The discounted price was £36 & full price £45. The product is very shabby and cheap & no way could cost that much. This product is made in India & I can bet they won't cost more than £5 to import from India. People here in UK have no clue how much exaggerated & high price they are paying for a product which cost nothing at the origin. We ordered two cabinets with Debenhams, costing more than £500. Several days later I kept getting missed calls from an unknown number - assumed it was a sales caller. After nearly a week, I called Debenhams who told me that the couriers (DX) have been trying to call me - they didn't leave a single voice message. “Quality dropping like a stone”

I used to love debenhams due to the good customer service, slightly more mature staff and great quality products. That's changed! The last 3 items I bought have either been poor quality or have broken in some way. I tried to leave a polite but critical review on their own website about a product but they removed it. “Never again - recommend to avoid at all costs”

Don't shop with them - offers dubious, often varying prices in store and online. I took an item back in store which had been purchased online and it was half the price! If you contact customer service their response is basically 'couldn't care less', which is worse than the problem in the first place. Despite it being the main department store in my area I will not be bothering to use again. “Awful please shop elsewhere ”

Please avoid ordering your appliances from debenhams . They offer top quality appliances and then get the chuckle brothers to deliver them !! Ordered 4 appliances at nearly 3k And they all arrived damaged , one was refused and the others were noticed damaged the next day . Purchased 30ml Dior J'adore for £47 on 16th Dec 14, for delivery to Southampton store by 12.00 midday on 17th. Went to collect and was told that the item had not been delivered yet.
