“Customer services are a joke”

Purchased a bag online which broke on its first outing. 11 emails later still no joy. They clearly don't look at previous correspondence and have no intention of being any help at all. I was under the impression it was illegal not to replace faulty goods, but that doesn't seem to stop Debenhams. I will never order or buy anything from them ever again. “Debenhams...What A Sham!”

Ordered for the first time in my life from debenhams online two wonderbras totalling £52, a week later no parcel. Contacted CS who told me items were still on way then a few minutes in to the convesation it transpires the parcel has been "lost" by the courier, I'd say more than likely stolen as stuff doesn't simply disappear or indeed try to deliver itself. I brought a dress and cardigan for a wedding at the Westfield’s White city, London, store on the 4/07/2014, and it was not until I got dressed for the wedding that I realised the security tag was still on the cardigan. I bought three items on the jewllery counter at the Bromley store on Saturday.I didn't like the attitude of the lady that served me.Unfortunately I had to take one of the items back today, and was served by the same surly lady.What a jobsworth! “Avoid Debenhams store!!!”

I have to express my disbelieve and disappointment in this store. They left my parcels at my neighbour (who is a criminal) so i spent 6 days by knocking on his door, wrote him two letters. Made a four phone calls to Debenhams, wrote them three emails and NOTHING has happened. I have never experienced so unhelpful a poor "customer service". “terrible security in harrow branch”

“good but certain staff”

Well i went to the East Kilbride Debenhams in the town centre- customer service was lovely! always asking wether i needed anything or looking for anything in particular etc. As i was shopping i walked past the make up section and saw a muslim woman shopping with children. “Good and bad”

I went to return an item this January and because it was reduced by 50% plus, I was told that I could not get anything (including a voucher) unless I purchased something else. A printed policy statement at the tills said the opposite, but they refused to budge. Odd. Anyway to cut a long story short, it's not always the best. That said, it offers good value items and the online team is responsive. Like nearly all of the High Street stores though, they don't seem to accomodate order changes… Read Full Review

No wonder Debenhams are not doing well. I ordered something from them which was showing as in stock online. They debited the money from my account but a couple of days later I received an email to say the item was not available, despite it still showing as in stock on the website. “Poor customer service”

I went to the mac section a couple of weeks ago. “appalling dodgy never shop at debenhams plus”

This is the worst ever retail service of my life. I bought a tablet for 219 pounds and I had to return it because I got another one as a gift at thr same time. I didnt even open the package and paid for its return myself via royal mail. When asked refund they won't refund me 219 pounds because I didnt agree to pay a 20 pounds charge. “No refund on return”

I purchased 2 items early December, returned a dress that was a completely different colour to the images through my works post collection service, Debenhams haven't refunded my card and now claim they haven't received the dress and as I don't have a post office stamp for the return they wont do anything.
