I visited their bond street store this afternoon, in a rush to pick up a pair of earrings. I bought a pair only to return after an hour as I found a more apt pair in another store. Stood at the till waiting to be served,thought i must be invisible, there was only me there with 3 staff behind the counter. Then after what seemed forever the chap said u alright there. scanned the items brought up the wrong price on two items had to tell him he hed over charged me didnt bother him. I bought an item over a month ago and still waiting a refund, I am disabled and that money should have gone towards a gas bill, instead I froze this month while they are sitting on their warm backsides processing a package....what are they doing??? I used to love Dorothy Perkins, the clothes were cheap and of ok quality. Returning instore was alright so long you didn't buy a 'concession' brand. Having now moved to Australia I did really miss them so took advantage of times when they had free international shipping. However I will NEVER buy anything from them again due to my experience! it is beyond me that in this day and age a company could have such terrible customer service. I've sent three emails via the online form and never received a single response. unbelievable!! plus, as a US customer shipping takes forever unless you pay $30 and you have to pay for returns. Ordered an item on Click and collect next day service (Saturday). Article didn't arrive at store until Monday - no good to me as it was too late and I can't get to local store in the week due to work. After being on hold to Customer Services for 47 minutes was told I can't have my money back for 10 days as the store keep any items not collected for 7 days before returning and then they will process a refund. I recently had an incomplete order from Dorothy Perkins and after 5 emails and 3 20 minute phone calls later I finally received an actual response rather than their previous automated responses. They were still "looking into matters" I had to wait over 3 weeks to finally be refunded after getting several confusing responses. Not happy at all with the customer service. I've sent three emails saying that I've paid three times for one item. I was told that the credit card had failed yet it went through and two paypal withdrawals have been made. I've only ever got DP items online, they all come very quickly via a courier and its trackable. It is an expensive shop but with the use of promo codes, sales and student discounts it can become affordable. My quibble is the sizing, using the online size guide I come up as a size 18 jeans but these are actually too big and end up falling down without a belt to hoist them up, so I recently ordered a 16 instead which are loads better - same with tops and dresses, I'm a size smaller than what... After reading these reviews I am surprised i live in the UK and have never had any problems with Dorothy Perkins. All issues have been redily sorted out by customer services they even assist you via facebook. It may take them a few working days to reply via email but this is to be expected and if necessary you can contact them via phone. Generally the products are fantastic and a good price. I live in the US and ordered some dresses with the "free shipping and tracking" promo. After a week I received an email stating that I owed an additional $70.00 for customs fees. No where on the website does it mention customs fees. I have sent three emails cancelling the order with no response from them and no contact telephone number. Not only was my order 2 weeks later than it said it would be - it was completely the wrong dress. I had to pay 10 bucks to have it shipped back to them. Also, they are only refunding me $39 of the $49 bucks I spent - not including the $10 I spent on shipping it back to them. I agree with you. I just wish I saw the negative reviews before I ordered from this website. My order is lost and the customer service is not replying to my e-mails (I e-mailed them three times so far). I contacted the post office in my country and they haven't received any of the ordered goods (the total value of which is almost 100 Euros). This is my second order from DP; the first one arrived on time. This also proves that there is no problem with my address or the fact that I am an international customer. Agree! Late Order + irresponsible customer service! I placed the order on 8th July, n the auto-message told me that I will receive my order no later than 13 th August , I wrote to them ask the status of my order,they just revert with this formatted long message of how long each type of delivery may take.
The ridiculous message from them is:
f your order is being delivered to an address outside of the UK and was ordered on Standard Delivery, we would ask that you allow a minimum of 2 weeks for your parcel to reach you.

Staff very helpful & willing to suggest alternative options when the item wasn't available when I needed it in a hurry. I'd let people know how helpful the staff are as word of mouth is always good PR. One negative I found that there are no stools in the fitting rooms which is a pain when you want to try shoes with an outfit in the fitting room rather than on the shop floor. (read more)

I am so much in agreement. A month and they have been saying the courier company has a backlog (HERMES that is!).
Called thrice and placed on hold for 30 minutes atleast! Have now requested a refund. Am very disappointed with DP service and delivery.

I appreciate the frustration of the international customers and this is something that they would need to look into. However as a customer in the UK I can't fault them. i have a question! Normally I'm a Large or a meidum at forever 21 and im not in the range of plus sizes, but there's this black dress i'm dying to have and it's 100% polyester, and it's now only available in 2x and 3x .Im a 36B in bra size, and 9 in jeans so even though im not in plus size clothing, do you think that a 2x in size from a dress in forever21 + would be too big on me?? I heard that forever21+ run sizes in junior + so it's smaller, i'm crossing my fingers hoping 2x will fit me!

I sent three emails to customer service over the following weeks, but didn't recieve any response. Some time later, a refund was placed in my account, with no email/call from them. I went into the store at Denton Crown point, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I was asked if I needed any help at the front, and the staff were polite both at the fitting rooms and the till. I haven't been into DP's for a while, and the stock was lovely, it seems that it has become more up to date! I will be returning soon! (read more)

I agree. I've called and called with little help. The reps are so nasty. Do Not order from this company. It's not worth it.
