Good Points: Their final album proper, often dismissed as too polished, but I won't have it as "Spit on a Stranger," "Carrot Rope" and the wonderful "Major Leagues" bookmark a record full of wit, warmth and real style. Probably every decent British "rock" band of the last ten years has robbed a bit off Malkmus and his mates. I miss them a lot!
Bad Points: This album's release signalled solo stuff from Stephen Malkmus, his first eponymous record was fine but his second, "Pig Lib" stinks! Bit of Frank Black solo syndrome methinks.
General comments: I noticed some expanded and remastered versions of their previous records doing the rounds. If "Terror" is available in this way check the expanded version for extra value.
