I ordered over 100pound worth of stuff, waited for a month so I called customer service. they arrogantly and rudely said my credit has been declined, but when I told them I paid straight away I paid by card, they made me wait for 22 min more and eventually cancelled my order. they offered to put it through again and supposedly did. but I find out 2weeks later they didn't. I've just had a similar experience. I'm a long-time customer of La Redoute and suddenly found myself £80 down and no way to redress the problem. I had 4 items to return, including a pair of jeans where they'd sent the wrong size. I tried to do it online but the return request didn't seem to have gone through (obvs the 'wrong type of browser' like marblecake) so I rang up. Arranged for it to be picked up, filled in all the rather confusing gubbins (Boden do this so much better) and left it - rather nervously - outside the front door. A week later it disappeared, but I didn't get a receipt or anything. And that's it. I've phoned La Redoute a few times and had the same response. No proof, tough. Get the police to investigate. Needless to say I won't be shopping there again.

Sorry to hear about your trouble too, rapunzel -my advice is to keep emailing them -I found I got more sense this way as I didn't have to wait ages on the phone to be spoken to like i was an idiot and it was all my fault! It seems to me once they start the ball rolling on an order they can't stop it . I couldn't understand why no one queried my order was a complete duplicate when it was packedwomen on the phone said ' no one sees the order' who is packing them then? Robots? Also i too found the returns system too complex and as they sent everything through on one invoice not 2 it was a nightmare working out which items to return. After sending a stinking letter to la redoute they have now rectified my account. I don't know where the goods went to but they eventually turned up. Someone did ring me to apologise but I was surprised I wasn't offered any compensation for my time. I tried copying my letter to the lady named above and my email just kept bouncing back? I have settled my account and will not shop with them again. They have gotten too big and don't seem to be able to stop the process when things go wrong meaning the customer has to do all the leg work! As the other lady says other companies manage it?Their telephone staff need a lesson in politeness although I must say the lady who rang to apologise was completely different.

I had given up on my £80 - I'm a freelancer and decided that the time it was costing me to pursue the matter was just throwing good money after bad. I thought I was getting somewhere with this when I got a reply to my 'Contact us' email on 29 Nov. A lady asked for details of the clothes I ordered. I duly sent them, in the body of the email and as an attachment. Two weeks later I got an email from a lady saying due to 'major technical issues' they can't open attachments, so can I fax the clothing details please. I replied pointing out that the info was in the body of the email anyway, but gave it a second time to save further delay. Since then, to nobody's surprise, silence. Judging from the other reviews, La Redoute is regularly taking and keeping people's money when it shouldn't. What on earth's going on? They used to be a reputable company.

It is my understanding under the terms of Distant Selling Regulations (DSR) that online customers have 7 working days starting the day after an item is delivered to inform a company of their intention to cancel/return the order (i.e. by e-mail or actually returning the item). If you did this they are legally required to refund any P&P or restocking/admin funds.
If you did adhere to this, you should ask them to explain why they have tried to ignore/opt out of their DSR obligations. If you receive an unsatisfactory answer you should report them to Trading Standards and the OFT. Good luck.

I placed order with Laredoute twice and twice I received wrong size!!!! They have big problem with the sizes, they admit it but do not correct! I based my choice on their Size Guide, which appeared to be wrong. When I spoke to their customer service it has been acknowledged. If you order with them, call them first to confirm the sizes!!! Its very difficult to find the correct sizes with la redoute - you can be a 8 in one type of shirt and a 12 in another. Tried to do returns and they asked to take more money out of my account, sounded quite suspect, didnt go through with it as I thought my chances of getting my money back sounded slim. id go shopping in a shop where you can try things on and be sure, if i were you. La Redoute have stylish, affordable clothes. The sizes are rather large compared to other places that I shop at. I am very, very pleased with a leather jacket I purchased as a sale item. It is just what I have been looking for for ages, it fits well, is stylish and, best of all, it is an absolute bargain.
I ordered a size 18, or 42 as I am large chested. At first I thought that it was too snug, but, it is actually a perfect fit and light in weight which makes it perfect for spring or cool summer nights.

They don't even deserve the star I was forced to give them. The deliveries are always late, the quality of the clothes is very poor and the clothes rarely fit! If you are after fashion at affordable prices and similar quality, you are better off shopping in shops like Primark, H&M, Tesco's, Mango or Zara. And you can even shop on-line now at H&M. Me again - sorry to sound boring but have just taken delivery of a pair of Doc Marten style shiny ankle boots and two asymetric cardigans. Once again, absolutely no problems with delivery, quality or price. Perhaps it varies according to where you live? My first and last time buying from LaRedoute. I ordered pyjamas szie 14, they were too small, it said 12/14 when they arrived. I rang about this, they said I needed 14/16. They sent a 'replacement' the samde size, 12/14. Rang again, man apologised, said the web site sizing was wrong, I needed 16/18 for size 14. They arrived, too big, but kept them to save trouble. I was astonished at some of the negative reviews here. I have been a customer of La Redoute since 1998 and have never had the slightest problem with either quality of goods, returns or prompt delivery - these days I order via the website and find this straightforward. I love the clothes; stylish and edgy and ideal for me as I am someone who hates fussy prints and wrapover dresses! Shoe sizes are a bit haywire so I have learnt to order a size larger than normal.

Oh man I wish I had read this site before I tried to shop at La Rubbish. I ordered maternity clothes - leggings, tighes, a smock.
The leggings turned up and are size enormous, great baggy elephant skins, very unflattering but at least cheap and useful for pyjamas I guess.
The blue tights are green - and not maternity tights but just normal size large tights.
Still waiting for two other pairs of tights, and the silk smock, six weeks later. No response to my emails, I would phone but...

I`ve had all of the problems the others write about on this site, with la redoute... There is one difference. I am in Norway, and the horrible customer service is the same here as in the UK. So; horrific customer service, never in stock whats supposed to be in stock, mediocre quality on garments and shoes. I will never shop at la redoute again, even though I was naked and the last clothes were held by them!

I ordered a fitted sheet, pillowcases and an item of clothing. It took a month for the delivery of one pillowcase(shoddy) and the jacket. I have written and emailed and still don't have the sheet. I ordered at the end of August. They just ignore me. I can't see how they should have even one star, something else might be appropriate.

The coat arrived on time and looked good, but because of vanity sizing it was too big for me (La Redoute 8 is ASOS 10). So began the long and hard process of exchanging/returning it. After emailing the customer service only to receive no reply I called and called the customer service and finally got through. Laredoute is a bad company. They delivered the clothes i ordered very late so i sent them back via their courier service.
2 weeks later, they still haven't refunded my money. when i called them, they said I will have to post a copy of the receipt. I told them I have the tracking number which confirms the items were delivered the day after they were picked from mine. They insisted they would need the receipt to be able to process my refund.
Hopefully, I would be able to get my money back...

A week ago I ordered some clothes from La Redoute for when I go on holiday. I asked for them to be delivered to my office as I don't have anyone to take in parcels at home. I was still waiting today and the website said that the order was still "being prepared" so I called them to find out what was going on.
Apparently they can't deliver to business addresses so rather than inform you of this, they keep the order as "being prepared" and wait for you to call up and query what's going on....

I've ordered two things from La Redoute recently, one of which still hasn't arrived despite my being assured that it would arrive in time for my holiday in July (it's now nearly September, when am I going to wear a short skirt in winter?).
My main gripe however is their order codes and the likelihood of actually finding one you can use on a product you like. I used a 50% off order code, but it wasn't confirmed on the email - on calling their helpline (10 minutes wait with the worst music in...

Appalling company. Refused to cancel order when late. Goods were of shoddy quality, ill-fitting and frumpy. After 7 weeks I am still awaiting a refund, although receiving 'junk mail'and spam email almost daily. To add insult to injury, they won't even allow me to award them NO STARS! (read more)

I can not even describe my thoughts about this Company. I placed my order online and all was showing in stock, well confirmation email said two items pending and all the rest of the order was being processed and that was nearly two weeks ago. No my order has not arrived and after numerous phone calls I was told various problems were down to the new computer system and no way could they tell me when I could expect delivery. I agree with this guy. Don't buy from this site even they suggest a free item, free p&p and free kiss. As I understood all of things that they want from customers is to go to their website, waste their time and improve their website's traffic.
And what they do is to offer deceptive voucher codes, increase the number of (virtual) members, decline the orders and sending "I apologize" and "I regret" emails.
I have never could order from their website.
