“Convenient it they don’t price match.”

Argos has always been a convenient high street store to buy all your household goods. However, we have found that other retailers offer the same product as a cheaper price. We asked Argos if they would price match. They said no. We we purchased our items from Currys PC World who do price match even with Amazon. Great.

“Awful Home Delivery Service”

I've ordered furniture for home delivery and the items have never been delivered to my address. Had to re-schedule the delivery time twice because the driver could not deliver my items for some unknown reason. So in total 3 attempts to deliver, lots of my time waisted and no result. I've eventually lost my patience and cancelled the order. I will never purchase anything for home delivery from Argos. Thanks.

“Ups and downs”

Firstly I would like to say that I like so many other in the UK have come to rely on places like Argos for pretty much all occasions. I have visited many different stores country wide and find the service extremely varied from place to place. Starting damn right rude and argumentative staff ranging upwards to fantastic customer service however given that these stores are supposed to be one massive machine for the lazy shopper you would think that all stores would have a standardised training regime to insure that no matter what store you visit the experience remains the same. A couple of my local stores in the West Midlands are 2 of the worst I have even been in. Staff are rude, chat loudly with each other about obscene topics in full ear shot of customers! Stock on most items listed online isn't in store, I fear this is just the beginning of a very bumpy road because if history tells us anything at all we know that things get a whole lot worse before they get better. Argos bigwigs need to step up and take control of these few renegade store.

“Washing machine delivery was good”

Washing machine was delivered and installed fine, its the type that has dryer built in, nothing but problems with it, the dryer keeps resetting and flashing all the LEDs, been seen to 2x and still does it. I think Argos should track how many callouts their products get and stop selling certain ones as Ive heard a few people say they bought stuff from argos for them to be breaking all the time.

“Delivery was pathetic”

I have recently ordered baby play gym for my niece. I booked slot for Monday 21 July 2014 but it was not delivered that day. I required it in urgency as my parents to travel back to India on 22 July Tuesday. Whole day my husband waited for the delivery from 7 am to 8 pm but nobody came. Then I called up Customer services on Tuesday morning at 8.05 am regarding the delivery. I requested them to deliver before noon so that my parents can take it with them as their flight at 16 hours and also the delivery was supposed to be for Monday. The lady said she cannot guarantee the timing and it can be anytime from 9am to 8pm. I cannot believe it. Firstly they didn't delivered on time and then when I requested for priority then also no action was taken. The reason for not delivery was also lie. They said driver on Monday was not allowed to enter property and no access. But my flat is open access flat, no need for any kind of access. I was really disappointed as they delivered 7pm and my parents could not take along with them. Very bad customer service as the lady was very rude as well while talking and serving.

“sales prevention office”

Had my first Argos experience today in Northfield Birmingham, I was greeted by a large group of potential customers being turned away from the store! On closer investigation the reason for this outrage was conveyed to us by the deputy manager I know this because pinned to  his chest was a big shiny badge confirming his status within the Argos organisation. He was informing the congregation that under no circumstances was he allowing anyone into the store because of a system failure, he told us that the problem will take 30 minutes before the issue is resolved and that we should come back then…… One lady asked could she enter the store to browse through the cetology as she was not sure what present she wanted to purchase, the deputy store manager said no, even though the store contained a number of customers doing just that! I asked Rodger the sales prevention office, sorry the deputy manager with the big shiny badge if he could confirm that the item I was looking for was in store he said he was unable to because the system was down, I asked him with the big shiny badge for the number for customer services, he asked why! I informed him that if he was unable to assist me then customer services would, (at that moment I noticed that the shiny badge was beginning to lose some its shine) The Customer service department were able to confirm that the item was out of stock but I could order it I must say they were very polite and helpful. I have my own business and I have a retail shop, shiny badges mean nowt. How you treat people is the key. I wonder were the manager was, and worse still when a potential customer leaves your store will they come back. And finally …. Are today’s deputy managers, tomorrow’s managers?

“VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE”

I recently contacted Argos via Email regarding a potential order for TV delivery and pick up inquiry. The response was entirely unsatisfactory but I reluctantly recommended that my Mother contact them to buy a laptop over the phone. However; when she called them to order she was advised that her debit visa card had been declined. My Mother is 84 years old and has Cancer and a weak heart and they almost gave her a heart attack as she knew she had available monies in her account.She thought her bank account had been hacked! Her bank advised her that Argos pick cards at random to stop to avoid fraud. I am well aware that the U.K. is ridden with fraud but the woman she spoke to at Argos did not have to be so unhelpful and unpleasant to her. I trust that if / when my Mother calls to order a T.V. over the phone that there will not a a reoccurence of this incident. It would be good if Argos could advise potential clients of what they are doing as it is very poor customer service and causing clients unecessary anguish and stress.

“Non delivery AGAIN!!!!!”

Thought would give Argos another go and ordered a Vacuum Cleaner to be delivered on Fri 21st September 2012 between 7am and 8pm.Waited in all day,what a complete waste of time!!Why do they not deliver on the given or chosen time??It is so frustrating!!!I am definately going to go back to ordering things from Amazon as never have any problems with them.

“Product reviews are biased.”

I always read reviews of products before I buy them, but can no longer trust Argos to be a fair representation of customer views. I left a review of a product I had bought from Argos online, a shoe cupboard, stating that although it was a nice design the description was inaccurate, (it stated the shelves were adjustable and they are not), and it did not fit the heeled shoes I bought it for. I went on to say it would be ideal for smaller kids shoes or flat shoes. Argos rejected the review, saying i had breached their guidelines as had left negative feedback. I am unable to buy from them again knowing that the comments on items are biased to the positive. My comment was not overly negative and described my opinion of both good and bad aspects of the cupboard. I was shocked to have my opinion discredited because they did not agree with what I had written.

“OK but one really annoying feature!”

Argos website is obviously very popular and has a huge demand! However, one small feature really has annoyed me in that when you want to collect something from a store (as the item is out of stock for home delivery so no option for that) why can we just choose from two locations! Why cannot choose from all local locations which then saves us having to go back and keep choosing other areas, only to find its out of stock there too - much simpler to allow us to see the the most local destination that has the goods I would like to purcahse. A very small gripe though, as otherwise site is easy to use.

“very up set”

for a start 4 weeks delay made arrangements for both items to be delivered on some day(3-9-11)what happened 1 item missing phoned customer services told item in warehouse asked for saturday dilivery nothing until october ended up 13 sept between 12-6 working 6-2 on 13sept got to finish work early if i book for them to be diliverd on 3 sept expect them on date told by customer services have my dilivery charge back

The argos site itself is not bad, only things can be a little difficult to find so its not just a click and go site like ebay or amazon. However, you can reserve things online in the argos store near you and go to pick them up later on so you know you can definitely get one. Do not order things to be delivered from Argos ever, for my 15th birthday I ordered a wii console over a week before my birthday and it was due to arrive two days before, didn't turn up on either days and when we rang them up they said it would be delivered the day after because they couldn't ship the item. I was very upset after this incident and refuse to order from there again, I have reserved and collected things since then and so far that has turned out ok.

“Well i have been waiting now for over a month for this...”

Well i have been waiting now for over a month for this filing cabinet, and on the first day i wanted it i went in to buy it and it wasnt in stock, whitch is fare enough but the man at the till was really ignerent and wasnt really botherd at all which i found was disgraceful,and now here i am a month and a half later and still no filing cabinate in stock after over 6 weeks!

Be careful when ordering this. It is named 'a Magnetic Trainer', however if you look at the technical specification on the argos internet, it states it is 'manual resistance.'

I phoned head office customer services who stated that this is definitely misleading and that this cross trainer is definitely manual resistance.
Argos need to correct the description in their catalogue!!

I would like to know from anyone who has purchased the Habitat Salisbury leather Sofa recently to how the leather looks like. Does the leather finish got a shine to it as the pictures in the gallery of the 3-Seater. I have purchased one and it does not look the same as the pictures and from one I purchased a couple of years ago. Yet I purchased 2 back in 2016 and 1 in 2019 and they look the same. This 3- seater sofa leather has a dull distressed look.

I bought an electric bike E-plus 27 inch which was just slightly too high for my wife and on investigation found the wheel size printed on the wheel is actually 28 inch. Is the error with your print or with what is printed on wheel? Regards

Iv just purchased the Canzano 2 dressing table set... someone had already asked the question does the mirror fix on to the dressing table the answer was yes. I’m just wondering how?  There is no screws slots or anything to secure the mirror to the table! If I’d have know this I wouldn’t have got this one!
