I left my purse in Argos, Huddersfield Leeds road store. The sales advisor saw it and when I went back to collect it everything was intact. Not many people are honest and look out for others now and it was such a relief to have it back. He was the angel of the day for me and if he wasn't as vigilant it would have easily been taken by someone who wasn't as honest. Thanks so much. How easy is this?! Ordered our new TV on a Sunday morning and collected it half an hour later. No waiting in for deliveries; a great stress free way of shopping. Our new flat screen TV was great and only £149.99. Plug and play? Yes! Turned it on, pressed a few buttons and we are away. Just to let others know please don't order for delivery from Argos. They failed to deliver when promised and to add insult to injury (and more lost wages waiting around) when I asked for another date they said it would be 9 days later. I have used Argos several times. They have a store about 1 mile from my house and it's so handy being able to reserve an item online then jump in the car and pick it up. Just the other day my sister-in-law suggested a birthday present for my neice from Argos and the whole process was about as smooth as it could be. I ordered multiple items online value approximately £150 and whilst I was ordering all items were fine for home delivery. I got a date set but no set time line in between hours on a Saturday, had to get my MOT done that day basically 5 minutes drive away but unluckily for me the delivery came when I was out, driver phoned me to say he was at my place advised him I was around the corner and on my way back. My 9 month old 42" plasma TV broke down 3 weeks ago. AFter three visits from repair men, I'm now told it can't be repaired. I phoned customer care, explained I wanted a refund - they put me on hold and have hung up! I am still without a TV. It doesn’t do the job and at some point stop working so you have to wait a few minutes in order to use it again and I live in a small flat.! Definitely it’s not worthy to spend £ 55 in this vacuum. Hello, We purchased a Morphy Richards Slow cooker (£35.98) and Argos product replacement insurance cover (£5.99) in October 2010. After 6 months use the slow cooker went faulty and started to melt one day whist unattended. It not only destroyed itself but also burnt a hole through our Kitchen work top. Tumble dryer delivered, would not work when plugged in. Argos refuse to collect and insist it is down to Indecit to sort out. Say distance selling does not count because it is faulty. We had to chase delivery as the times stated were totally incorrect and after two phone calls finally got the item, whch then arrived broken. Tried to get a replacement and we were referred to the manufacturers warranty system who wanted the item posted to them ( it was huge) and proof of purchase ect, wouldnt exchange it , wanted to repair it,We demanded a refund , whcih after 3 weeks and at least 5 phone calls is still not forthcoming . About 2 years ago I bought a treadmill from Argos in Dublin. I live in a second floor apartment. Before purchasing the item I explaind the situation that there is no lift but the stairs are so wide (about 3 meters width). There confirm that it will be delivered to your room as it is adbertised in their website. ADVERTISED is a Argos delivery will take to the room of your choice, as your area can not be delivered by Argos who have to use a carrier service the room to of your choice option would then all depend on the carrier not Argos.

Yodel are a dreadful company. I have seen some horrendous stories about people's experience with Yodel. I refuse to use a company they supply for. If you must use Argos, go in store or use their reserve in-store items. You will get less selection, but you will have what you ordered.
Yodel have an awful reputation which is why they had to change their name to try and shake it (home delivery network), but they just can't get the service right.

Just because they are one of the biggest retailers out there, they seem to think that they can treat home delivery customers like dirt. I ordered a bed from them in store, the next available delivery would be in 5 weeks!! So i asked about a different bed, that one would be 3 weeks so i booked that one instead. Then after paying out a fair amount of money for said bed I had to pay for the delivery to! Of course they couldn't give me an exact time they could deliver, it would be between 12-6.... (read more)

Been shopping with Argos for the past 20 years. After today I will never shop with them again. With 4 young children I will be doing my christmas shopping elsewear this year. I've always been a loyal customer today while out shopping with my young child the wheel came of my recently purchased buggy. After ordering an item online on the Thursday I was emailed to confirm delivery for the Monday- nothing arrived, called customer 'care' for redelivery on Wednesday- nothing arrived, called again and was told would be called back- shock horror no call back, emailed to complain- generic response letter A, not even relating to my problem. I purchased an ARGOS item online for my brother in UK and was then offered a discount on future purchases - which I accepted as I thought my brother could benefit if he wanted to make further purchases from his local ARGOS store. We are sorry if you did not realise that there was a charge for the Shopper Discounts & Rewards membership.
Membership is free for the first 30 days so that you can try out the programme and after that it costs £10 per month. This is clearly detailed at the top of the registration webpage. There are six mentions of the monthly charges on the registration page including a mention directly above the section where you would have entered your credit card details.
Members are free to cancel their membership at any time. Ordered a Toyote overlocker on 18th October booked the delivery for 29th October to my daughters lodgings as she is in University. Applied for the credit card at the same time so I could get 3 months 0%. Got a call from security team 26th October asking for details as I was having it delivered to an alternative address. Echoes. My saga still goes on since before Xmas into April, Promptly debited, but item delivered to wrong address- as proved eventually and definitely. Responsibility seems to transfer to 'Suppliers' from Argos. Customer services team has endless changing members . I have found them polite, but inconclusive.
Presently, I am left with no product and no refund . And no responses .(no arrangements with me, for original delivery despite many requests, by the way)
