“Delivered wrong product: incompetent!”

I ordered a washing machine and had a dishwasher delivered. I took the day off work to receive the delivery and booked someone to install the damned thing. I now don't have a washing machine, I have a dishwasher and no where to put the machine as it's too big for the washing machine space so is just sitting in the middle of my tiny kitchen. Called and explained but argos won't pick up until next week. I can't use my tiny kitchen whilst the dishwasher is here; I can't even open my fridge or oven… Read Full Review

“Plush lies”

Honestly, for the price of the two plush I just bought, you'd think they'd keep the quality up, at least they'd show what was in the catalogue right? Nope, neither Twilight nor Pinkie were what they were supposed to be, the Alicorn Twilgiht has these very fake flat wings that seemed to be sewed on an already existing regular Unicorn Twilight. And Pinkie, while nothing "terrible" hasn't had her stuffing put in her mane, it's flat right now and I'm going to have to figure out how to open it up… Read Full Review

Spent over £500 in Argos recently (my mistake) it looks like you are getting a bargain but the quality of the products are absolutely terrible. There is usually no problem with the quality of the products Argos sells. Your review seems to focus mainly on your experience of poor customer service. Clearly Argos has not met your expectations in terms of delivery. You do not state what the problem was with the quality of the goods you received. Your 1 star review looks more like a rant than an objective review!

I would have to disagree that my review was merely a rant... The quality of the products - Argos living roller blind - had it up the window for less than 48 hours the blind itself came away from the plastic and completely fell off leaving the rail and the glue that was supposed to keep it together (no refund) binned (waste of money)

Argos pollycotton and wood bedroom furniture set - the quality of this is again absolutely terrible, the holes on the wood are in the wrong place the wood itself is very poor quality there were screws missing and the whole thing looks very cheap and really not worth the money ( this is now sitting in the spare bedroom in pieces and also ready for the bin.

Seville wenge effect bedside cabinets, 3 drawer chest, 2 door wardrobe - again very poor quality and would be fine fior a small child with not many clothes, they look cheap and nothing at all like they did in the pictures - these are now on way to my local charity shop as would not have the cheek to ask someone to buy them from me (I would be embarassed to sell these items for cash) cleary Argos have no problem in taking money for poor quality items.

You seemed to have picked up my concerns with the customer service I have received but no mention if you are an employee of Argos or indeed if you have had any personal experiences.

All you have to do is look at the other reviews left by unhappy customers and the overall star rating for Argos.

Are we all on here just for a rant??

“unreliable delivery”

Delivery system seems to be too complicated even for their own employees. Ordered a Freezer with 7 day delivery, was told I would be contacted within five days to arrange a delivery time. Received no notice from Argos regarding delivery, and so contacted them myself after 6 days. Phoned four times over two days, each time, was told that they couldn't contact the delivery company, but that the product had been dispatched from their warehouse and should be "out for delivery." “Hopeless customer service”

First I was sold a TV with damage and scratch marks on it. Then when I raised a complain argos promised to compensate me £40. Its been 20 days, I still haven't received my cheque and each time I send an email, their executives lie to me and say it has been in post. “Poor!”

I ordered a gift from argos for home delivery. My account was charged for the item and the delivery date came and went and nothing arrived. I contacted argos and they said there was a warehouse error and the product was not in stock and wouldn't be back in stock. Have used with no problems hundreds of time instore, friendly helpful staff. Looking at the other reviews my problem has been similar, problems withthe home delivery and customer service team. Got a text saying my products would be delivered between 7am and 1pm. By the time half past 1 came around, I rang Argos only to be put in a half an hour queue on the phone. The advisor finally told me that they couldn't contact the driver but it shouldn't be too much longer as they hadn't received any notice of the van being late. Two hours later, no luck.
