    beds arrived on time - delivery guys friendly & helpful.. thats about as much as i can say that is positive about the whole argos experience!!!.. beds arrived damage, bits missing.. phoned customer service to complain & was told they would send out replacement items asap.. 3 weeks later and a phone call yet again to customer services proved that they didnt actually know where parts were!!.. week later they arrived. bed eventually got assembled and within very short period of time the bed that took 6+ hours to put up had broken!! joy oh joy!!

    would of loved to of had more feedback on this item prior to purchasing it, if i known then what i know now i certainly wouldnt of parted with my money!

    Dont bother ordering this, until Argos put this fault right! I ordered one, it arrived beautifully packaged, a sturdy looking machine. But like the other reviewer I couldnt put it together. The tension knob doesnt fit and the wiring inside doesnt fit either! I phoned York customer services who confessed they have had more calls than usual about this!     Marcy cross trainer ME09 at Argos
    Be careful when ordering this. It is named 'a Magnetic Trainer', however if you look at the technical specification on the argos internet, it states it is 'manual resistance.'

    I phoned head office customer services who stated that this is definitely misleading and that this cross trainer is definitely manual resistance.
    Argos need to correct the description in their catalogue!!

    Wardrobe ordered from the Argos website on 7th June 2009. The order receipt stated " you will be contacted by 5th July 2009 to arrange delivery" I have now chased them on several occasions for the wardrobe that they took the money out of my account for 2 months ago, but it has never arrived!! I am now told that this item is expected on 7th September (3 months after my order was made!)     Will never ever use Argos again!!!!!!! Son ordered 2 sofas and was constantly fobbed off as to when they would be delivered. 3 months later chose an alternative ( 2 shannon sofas) and eventually after several tries they managed to deliver the right sofas. However after only 4 months they look as if they are 10 years old. Asked for a refund as they were not suitable for the purpose, that is to sit on.     I ordered bed room furniture in February was told it would be delivered in March, on the delivery date i got a phone call to say it won't be for another month April, Now once again it's going to be yet another month its going to be May. I had this same trouble with Argos last year it took them 3 months to deliver a corner unit. I differently will not be buying large items that need home delivery from Argos ever again,

    Today i purchased a ,chunky mens 9ct gold neck chain from the Plymouth branch Royal Parade.. Having compared the price quality and availability with other retail outlets, Argos was by far the best value for money. Having been out of stock at one Argos store i visited, the helpful sales assistant on the jewelery counter enquired at a subsequent store and reserved the only one available for my appraisal, at my convenience.

    Argos have an extremely easy and fast item reserve facility, a couple of mouse clicks and you order is kept for you. Two seconds after making a reservation, you receive a text and an email with your booking number and the item is kept for two days, when you go to the shop, you can use the payment kiosk and bish-bosh you are on your way.

    Delivery of my order from Argos was due by no later than 21 February and I was told someone would be in touch by 19 February to arrange it. As the order was placed on 17 Jan I thought this was plenty of time for someone to get in touch. I didn't receive a call and on 19 Feb I rang them to be told that apparently the order was heavily delayed and I'd be getting a letter about it.     I feel I experienced very bad customer service from Argos. My camcorder was faulty and instead of replacing it they wanted to send it back to Hitachi to be fixed! - i paid £150 for it and certainly don't want a camcorder which has had to be repaired!

    I received both a ten pound Argos voucher for shopping within the store and one for shopping online.

    Although both were vouchers to be spent at Argos, I could only spend one within the store and one on line. I had wanted to reserve on line and pick up at store but Argos said the item had to be delivered to the house.     Last month I purchased a lamp with 8 tulip-like glass shades. We reserved on line and went to our local store to collect - Forty minutes later three youths working behind the counter still appeared to be chattering and meandering around and our lamp had not arrived - I thought that was pretty shoddy!

    I mostly use the Preston Fishergate store because everyone is lovely and courteous. I wanted to purchase a 32"HD television and the make I wanted was not in stock. The assistant conferred with his manager who promptly told me the merits of a similar model he even done an add on sale which was at bargain price. I am delighted with my televison and with the Fishergate store. It is always clean and welcoming. 10 out of 10 to the manager and his well trained staff.

    We ordered an item from the Home Delivery website that showed as being in stock and specified a delivery date six days later. It was some 24 hours before we received an order confirmation. Our credit card was charged at that time (before the item had shipped). We waited in all day for the delivery, but nothing appeared. We called Argos, and gave the "customer service" rep our details.     some 5 yrs ago I purchased a small Poinsettia from Argos for Christmas at a price of £2.99. It is now over 2ft 6in high and 3 ft across. It is covered in beautiful red leaves at the moment and has given me great pleasure to watch it flourish. I have moved house twice since I bought it but it continues to grow wherever I live.

    I ordered 4 things. The website showed no confirmation, but promised an emailed receipt. 3 days later I still haven't received one, but they have debited payment for 3 of the items 4 times and for the forth one 3 times. When I emailed about this, they cancelled the order. When I emailed to tell them not to cancel the order, they told me I needed to quote my order number (which I still do not have). I will never use www.argos.co.uk again in my life.
