Like several other reviewers, I've had the problem with the magazines not advancing. I'm packaging it up for a repair quote today. It worked fairly well for the very limited usage it got through the first year of ownership. Of course, that's the end of the warranty period as well!

My 10 year old has a Crosman 1077 that will fire off 12 shots in a row using a single CO2 cartridge and a plastic magazine. It's really sad that a $70 Crosman will work more consistently than this Walther.

In closing, it looks great, feels great, shoots unreliably if at all. :(

What good is a rifle if it does not perform to specifications? Advertised as a repeater that it appears to be, mine came without the eight shot carrier for the pellets and I had to call the supplier to get a package of replacement magazines even before I could test it out. Upon arrival, the rifle appeared to have lost its CO2 charge sufficient to discharge the first test shots...so had to load two more cylinders to continue the test. Not good so far only three weeks after loading the first air ...

The Walther Lever Action 4.5 is a well made and accurate rifle suitable for both indoor and outdoor ranges. It has superb quality and feel typical of German manufacture, this rifle will not disappoint any user. This is a extremely well manufactured and balanced rifle to use, it has all the looks and feel of an original 1872 Winchester. The sights are accurate when set properly and this rifle is awsome with a scope fitted. You have to be careful on usage, the ease of use of the under lever b ...

I have recently taken receipt of a Walther Lever action Rifle. The version I have is the "Carbine" with the shorter barrel. The weapon is based on the Winchester 1894 series of rifle. A study of picture of the "live firing version" reveals a very close copy. My first impression on opening it was the weight. To my pleasant surprise it was heavier than expected. As I shoot competitive target, weight is important as with me it aids stability. The next surprise was the balance. For me this was about ...

Got my carbine for $199 on clearance about a year ago. I fired the regular size version prior to that.

The Walther Lever Action 4.5 has unbelievable accuracy along with fit and finish making this gun a winner. I whipped it out at the local rifle range and everybody thought I had a Winchester 30/30.

Probably one of the most beautiful designs ever and incredibly accurate, even for a carbine.

Can't think of anything wrong with this gun.

I had to wait a few months while the Walther Lever Action 4.5 model was brought back into production after having been temporarily discontinued. I ordered the rifle/scope combo from Pyramid Air for $277 and included free shipping. The rifle comes in a hardshell case and overall looks and feels like the real thing.

I set up some shoot-n-see targets at @10 meters and proceeded to sight in the scope. It only took about ten rounds to get it dead bang on at that range. It wasn't long before I was ...

Be careful how much you pay for the Walther Lever Action 4.5 - there are huge variations in price out there. The highest price I saw was a whopping £330, with £180 being about average. The lowest price I found was at Airshooter.co.uk (£130), and as I'd bought from them before, they got a slice of my hard-earned.
Frankly I would have preferred the longer "long" version than the "short" (carbine), but none of the realistically priced retailers had one - it simply wasn't worth p ...

I bought my Walther lever Action 4.5 air rifle about a year ago. I have shot about 2000 pellets through it. Very accurate to 30 yards. Smooth action and trigger. I scoped mine - the eyes aren't as good as they were 45 years ago. I recommend a speed loader for the pellet cylinders.

This Winchester-94-like CO2 rifle feels like the real thing, though the fake tubular magazine under the barrell adds unnecessary weight. A little less accurate than the Crosman 1077, despite the very heavy and long trigger pull of the latter, but remarkably more powerful. I paid €270 for mine (short version, 380mm barrell) and it hasn't missed one shot so far.

The Walther Lever Action 4.5 is a gun which is impressive in isolation, and even more so considering I paid only £120 for it from Michael Tawn Airgun Supplies.

The qualities I like most about the rifle are its small details. What on a real Winchester would be the loading gate for cartridges is actually the button for opening the magazine housing, which I think is quite clever. Often on Co2 guns the details are moulded and cosmetic which is a little dissappointing.

    Accuracy is good c ...

Beautiful right out of the box. Got my Walther Lever Action 4.5 on clearance at Airgun Depot for $199. Perfect fit and finish and a hoot to shoot although the plastic front sight is easy to knock out of line.

Easy to load and shoot even the front barrel hole is made to look like the Winchester 30-30.

    Fantastic rifle for the money.

Walther Lever Action 4.5 Air Rifle ReviewHaving shot and owned many centerfire rifles over the years,it is a rare priveledge that I have the opportunity to purchase an air-rifle that so closely resembles its namesake....the Winchester 1894!

If Winchester knows how to build the centerfire rifles, the Germans seem equally adept at creating a facsimile that takes second place to none. Winchester take notice!

The blueing of my sample is as deep as any Smith & Wesson handgun I have taken charge ...

Walther Lever Action 4.5 - I have shot my rifle only a few times but am thrilled with the feel. It's wonderful to be able to actually lever action a round into place. It's so smooth in it's action. I purchased mine more for the name, looks and known quality of maker but have found so much enjoyment in shooting it. For a CO2 it's fps rate is great. I would recommend any serious air gunner to get one of these.

I bought the Walther Lever Action 4.5 rifle mainly on its looks, feel and after reading the reviews here. I am very pleased with my purchase. It has more than enough power to provide consistent accuracy and good groups at 20mts plus and I have no doubt it would be good for small game. I enjoy plinking with my rifles and this rifle has brought back a great deal of the fun and managed to impress me and others along the way. Although it could be fitted with red dot or even telescopic sights that w ...

The Walther Lever Action 4.5 is a nice piece of kit marred only by stupid use of plastic sights. Why did they do this?

I bought the long barrel version for target shooting in the garden. I don't particularly like scopes and I don't need or want to kill anything with it so its a pretty good choice.

The lever action is not as robust as you might expect, but it works. This is not really like a Winchester when you handle it, but it does look the part from a distance.

    Overall, for the relati ...

I have several other spring airguns, including a Beeman Kodiak I use for hunting, and I bought the Walther Lever Action 4.5 air rifle purely because I wanted a authentic looking, western style airgun to hang as a decoration over my bar when I was not shooting it. I wanted it to be fully functional and solidly made, and powerful enough for small game within 30 yards. I also wanted it to be CO2, for the fun factor, (I get tired sometimes of cocking the springers and loading single shots). It fills ...

The Walther Mod 94 is a high quality piece that will be in production for a long time. Real wood and machined metal in a modern day reproduction of the always beautiful 1894 Lever Action Winchester. No toy gun, it is sophisticated and well thought out. The scope set up is worth the price for ease of shooting and to properly utilize it's accuracy. Co2 would prefer the larger .22 bore, but this .177 does well for itself.
